While the Ellipse At Fairfax Corner bills itself as luxury apartments, that they certainly are not. They are a good quality average complex. Too many of the apartments have not been renovated. Efforts have been made in the past couple of years, like painting the outside of the complex and resurfacing the swimming pool and updating the exercise room, but inside the apartments continue to look old and dingy. My cabinets are wood with vinyl glued to them, which is peeling off, for example. ... Maintenance is quick to respond, but the fixes that I am familiar with have been Band-Aid fixes. The grounds used to be kept in good shape, but in the last year, they’ve been neglected.

The maintenance supervisor gave me a quick tour of the gym while I was waiting for my appointment, which was really nice of him. Everything was straightforward, and I think it’s easier to apply online. I made the appointment online and honestly didn’t think it was real, but after the first tour, don't know by luck I was like, “Take my check!”

The Ellipse At Fairfax Corner Apartments are located in a beautiful setting with many trees, close to shopping, walking, and transit. The exterior of the apartments was fairly recently painted and the grounds are typically kept mowed and clean. Maintenance has a quick response time. It’s a nice place to call home.
