I initially really enjoyed living at Langdon. The apartments themselves are well-built, and the amenities are decent. However, over time, a few issues became hard to ignore—especially when it came to transparency and safety.
One of the biggest concerns is the unexpected fees. While I was told to expect standard utilities like water, wastewater, and gas, there were many additional charges that weren’t clearly communicated upfront. Beyond the base rent and the required amenity fee, I was billed... for things like a 9% admin service fee, trash admin fee, valet trash, common area electricity, a gas admin fee, a city service fee, and more. These added over $225/month to what I was originally quoted. It felt incredibly misleading.
The office staff is responsive at times, but there are recurring safety issues that aren’t taken seriously. The gates are often broken and left open, allowing strangers to wander through the complex. I had a bike stolen directly off my balcony, and even though I shared security footage with management, nothing was done. There were also multiple incidents of suspicious activity captured on my cameras that were ignored. Perhaps most alarming, a resident was held up with a machete in broad daylight in the parking lot.
Ultimately, it doesn’t feel like you’re getting what you pay for. In a competitive rental market, there are likely better-managed options with clearer billing and stronger safety measures. I’m grateful I had the flexibility to move out—others should think carefully before committing.

Do not live here
During our time living at the Langdon we had several serious issues with the unit as well as property damage to our owned property. This all began once RPM Living purchased the complex and everything went downhill. To name a few incidences: the maintenance team damaged our brand new dryer when they stepped on it when fixing the ac and despite my best efforts to get resolution with the complex they said that it was ultimately our responsibility to tell their maintenance team not to step on our... washer and dryer when fixing the ac unit. This was the 3rd time our ac broke in less than 4 months and had to be replaced which also caused severe water damage to several of our items that were stored in our laundry closet at the time. Again, when I went to the apartment complex about this they basically said to deal with it and that we should have removed the items from the shelves above the washer and dryer below the ac unit faster despite us moving all of the items as soon as we noticed the water leaking. Mind you, this was during the hottest part of summer and our apartment was also getting to absurd temperatures in the high 80's and I was several months pregnant at the time. During all of these issues with the ac, we had mold and mildew start to grow in our air vents and run down our walls below the vents and when I flagged this to the complex they had someone from the maintenance team simply come and paint over the mold and mildew stains on the walls and they didn't even clean out the vents. Again, I was several months pregnant and this could have caused serious illness for both myself and my son. There was just such an absurd level of incompetence that presented itself once RPM living bought the building from the previous owners and thankfully we moved out before our son was born because I would NOT want a child or anyone that may be immunocompromised to be living at this complex due to their negligence alone. Don't get me started on the car break ins in the complex, how frequently the gates are broken causing further security concerns, and the lack of awareness from the front office despite these issues being flagged several times. If the previous owners still ran this place, I would HIGHLY recommend renting here, however I can't tell you more simply than this, if you care about the health and safety of yourself and/or your loved ones, do yourself a favor and do not rent here.

Management does not care
Picking up a package can take a while because there is typically one person in the office and they prioritize lease signing over grabbing packages. While understandable they are just managing that situation poorly.

INCOMPARABLE COMMUNITY
Walnut Park has the best amenities! Management and maintenance are totally incomparable to any other apartment that I have ever lived in. I rarely hear my neighbors and the dog park is huge and actually shaded! The location to stores and restaurants is great as well, not to mention Walnut Creek is within walking distance. I recommend this apartment complex to anyone and everyone, hands down.
