I like this place, the apartment I am renting is clean and cozy. The only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars - is because the building is old and needs refreshing inside just as it is being refreshed on the outside. Proximity of restaurants and massive trash containers results in horrible stench at the side of the building. Carpets should no longer be a thing in the hallways - there should be cleaner sound insulation. Design is dated and smell of gas and ppl cooking - hallways are long and it would... be great if ventilation was better etc.

I’ve only been at The Stories for a few weeks so far, but my experience has been positive overall! The maintenance teams have been responsive, friendly, and attentive whenever issues have come up, and communication has been prompt throughout the process. The community, amenities, and neighborhood have been lovely so far and I’m looking forward to settling in more over time!

I’ve really enjoyed living at The Stories overall. The apartments are beautiful, the natural lighting is amazing, and the building has a modern feel that made it easy to feel at home quickly. The staff and maintenance team have also been fantastic and are genuinely helpful. I love having the parking garage, although it can be frustrating that it’s shared with retail parking, and there’s also an abandoned car that looks like it has been sitting there forever. My biggest complaint is definitely... the noise between floors because you can hear upstairs neighbors walking around very clearly, and both my tub and the neighbors upstairs shower creak loudly during showers. I really miss the coffee machine in the lobby, please bring it back because it made the building feel much more welcoming. Overall though, I’ve had a very positive experience living here and would still recommend it to others looking in the Rockville area.
