The Residences at Westgate has a lot of potential, and the location is definitely convenient. However, there are a few areas that could use some attention to improve the overall living experience. The hallway carpets are worn with visible stains and a noticeable odor, especially since there’s no ventilation or AC in those areas. The elevator also often has an unpleasant smell and could benefit from a deep cleaning. Lastly, the mailroom could use a refresh it would feel much more welcoming with a... new coat of paint and some small updates. With a few improvements, the community could feel much more comfortable and well-maintained.

Poorly maintained
I'm very disappointed in the conditions at 175 Valley. The carpets are filthy with set-in stains, there are gashes and paint chips on the walls, and every other front door hasn't been painted in years. The stairwells are also dirty and gross. There are large planters in the courtyard with no plants in them. The callbox doesn't work so no way to let in guests. And the garage has huge water leaks daily. The lack of care is unacceptable considering how much we all pay in rent and it's absurd that... this complex is advertised as "luxury" when it's worse than a hostel. It's clear there is no consideration for residents who value basic aesthetics. These are all small fixes that would greatly increase our quality of life but they simply don't care. Do not be like me and ignore the bad reviews before signing a lease.

Great location, spacious floor plans, friendly staff and neighbors. Very clean and ample walking area. Many improvements on the last year, the community is really coming together nicely. Happy to live here!

Westgate Residences is the premier living community in Old Pasadena. The many floor plans offer variety, management is very professional, and maintenance, landscaping, communication, and cleaning are excellent. We hope to stay here many more year in the future. Westgate Residence is "home" for us.
