SERIOUS SECURITY CONCERNS - UNRESOLVED FOR 9+ MONTHS

Since posting my original review regarding the unresolved security issues, my vehicle was broken into overnight in the parking garage.
Given that the parking garage gates have remained unrepaired for over nine months, access to the garage is unrestricted. At night, the garage is effectively open, with little to prevent individuals off the street from entering and prowling around.
This situation reinforces the seriousness of the ongoing access and security concerns I... described previously and raises real concerns about resident safety.
Last August, I discovered an unconscious homeless individual in the hallway on the 4th floor of Building 2 at 1800 Broadway.
This raised an obvious question: how did they get inside?
At the time:
* The parking garage gates were broken * The security door between the garage and the 4th floor hallway was not functioning
It is now April - more than nine months later:
* Have the parking garage gates been repaired? No * Has the security door been fixed? No * Has management provided any clear timeline for these repairs? No
This is not just an inconvenience - it is a serious safety issue.
With unrestricted access through the garage, anyone can enter the building. This creates real risk for residents, their vehicles, and their personal safety - particularly at night.
This is especially concerning for residents who may feel more vulnerable walking to and from their apartments at night, including women living alone.
If safety and secure access are important to you, I would strongly encourage you to consider other apartment options in the area. There are several newer communities nearby that appear to be better maintained and may offer more reliable security.

Worst place I’ve ever lived
This has been the worst living experience I have ever had. I have lived in far less expensive communities and never encountered issues like this. It is shocking that a property advertising itself as “luxury” and charging high rent operates this way. The parcel locker system has been broken for over a year. As a result, receiving packages is a constant hassle. there is nowhere secure for deliveries, access to units is inconsistent, and packages are either not delivered at all or left in unsecured... areas where they often go missing. I pay for Amazon Prime to receive essential supplies for my business, and at this point the membership is useless since I cannot reliably receive packages. For over a year, management has repeatedly said the parcel lockers “will be fixed,” yet nothing has been done. The front and back entry gates are also consistently broken. Despite repeated complaints, the only response is that management is “aware of the issue,” with no timeline for repair. Because the gates are left wide open, anyone can enter the property. A neighbor’s car was broken into, and management showed little concern beyond stating, again, that the gates would eventually be fixed. I have also submitted a maintenance request for a safety issue over a month ago. I submitted it twice, followed up by email and phone, and it still has not been addressed. Instead of fixing these serious, ongoing problems, management seems focused on cosmetic “upgrades” and renovations. I could not care less about repainting the buildings from brown to white when basic necessities and safety issues are ignored. A quick drive through the parking garage shows trash piled up in corners at all times. This has been reported repeatedly and never addressed. Trash accumulating for months, attracting bugs into the hallways, is not luxury living. I am extremely disappointed in the lack of response, accountability, and care. I have called, emailed, and texted, and received little to no follow-up. A parcel system down for over a year is unacceptable. Trash buildup for over a year is unacceptable. Broken security gates leading to car break-ins are unacceptable. The overall lack of concern from management is ridiculous

Lack of Caring and Sympathy
1800 is advertised as "Luxury" living but it has been far from that for a while now. We have lived here for many years now and the gate never works leaving us vulnerable to theft and damage by people who do not live here. Many Pearl patrons will use our ungated garage as a parking lot so they don't have to pay. The gym has had equipment that has not been usable going on about a year now. For months the TVs have not been working and have the cords hanging down the wall, very tacky. Many places... will have problems just like any family, business or relationship but what usually makes people work things out is mutual respect and caring for each other. The property management and front office does not see the residents that way. We sign a contract that says we have to obey all these rules to be a good resident yet they are not held accountable for keeping up the building and making this feel like a home for us. They blame the residents for many of the problems in the building like the front gate and plumbing problems. And if it's not the residents then it is the contractors they hired or the fact that they need more time to research and buy new equipment; there are not that many ellipticals out on the market that it should take over 6 months to get them replaced. As residents, this is where we have chosen to make our home and I will continue to do that for my family and neighbors despite the lace of respect and caring from the front office and Churchill Forge Properties management company.

Accountability
Two months ago one of our vehicles was struck by the entrance gate. On the day of the incident the property manager, Destiny, was outside in the morning checking to see if the gate was working. In the afternoon, after the gate fell on our car, she was out there manually lifting it because it got stuck in a position too low for cars to enter. There is a record of the gate not operating correctly consistently and fob RF issues. The front office allowed landscapers to park in the driveway causing... another safety issue that day. Even with Destiny knowing of the gate problems that day, the management company denied our claim to have our car fixed. They claim the gate was operating properly that day. They say they care about the residents but actions say otherwise.

I'd stay if I could!!
Management is kind and helpful, the maintenance staff always goes above and beyond. I wish I could take them everywhere I live- it's made my standards pretty high and even though I'm not staying in the city for the long term, this complex makes me second guess leaving just because I feel comfortable.
Room to grow, if I have to- some of the gym equipment could use an update. I also wish there were a bit more security with construction workers around at all times. Even just cameras at gated... entrances would make me feel more secure.
