Noisiest property ever.
I'm very frustrated by the constant repair work in the communal area, which creates an incredibly disruptive and noisy environment. Given the properties poor sound proofing and outdated amenities, the AC units also make loud noise worsening the living quality. This property ranks among the least peaceful residential areas I've ever encountered. The overall community experience does not justify the rent, and once you commit to the lease, you're stuck enduring the discomfort and disturbances until... the very last day, making the entire rental experience a source of misery.

Cost me my job
Several times I've had to miss work because I cannot shower before I go to work. I bet if the property manager couldn't shower or wear all of that make-up, I bet things would get done sooner. I keep missing work because I cannot shower. The hot water is ALWAYS off or there's an issue with the water. I'm totally fed up with the treatment or lack there of. I have to call several times when it comes to service being done. I also have to deal with the trash not being picked up.

Do not recommend
I do not recommend this place for two reasons:
1-So much noise from the proximity to the tollway and the fact that the apartment is not soundproof can be disturbing.
2-The apartment has a small poorly designed kitchen with very few cabinets.

not built to conform to weather
North Texas can get cold, and does get cold a few days of the year. The property is not built to stand the cold, pipes burst, there are many buildings without water during winter and, management requests tenants to have in their rental insurance to cover WIndhaven property for bursted pipes, when THAT is their responsibility. Ice is not taken out of stairs and there is little support on having enough salt. During the summer, management argues that the AC is able to stand a 20F difference in... temperature, that is, if outside is 100F, inside temperature should be 80F, which is not low. The problem comes when the temperature goes to 110F, which is not uncommon for Plano. Insulation is poor so you may expect to pay north of $300 dollars per month during summer months in electricity bill. Basically, tenants are paying for poor insulation and poor piping year round.
