I wanted to like living here, but repeated maintenance and communication failures have made that difficult.

Earlier this year, my washer and dryer were out of service for three weeks. I received little to no meaningful communication from the property, and the issue only began moving toward resolution after I contacted Greystar corporate myself.

More recently, my central air conditioning failed during one of Houston’s hottest weeks of the year, when the heat index exceeded 105°F. Management... repeatedly told me maintenance would arrive, but those promised visits came and went without anyone showing up. A technician eventually arrived around midnight, but only repositioned a portable AC unit. My central AC remained broken.

Despite running the portable unit continuously, my apartment stayed around 86–87°F, making it extremely uncomfortable to occupy and preventing me from sleeping. At the time of writing, I still had not been given an estimated timeline for the permanent repair.

To make matters worse, after four days without functioning central air, management offered an $88 rent credit, which I felt did not reasonably reflect either the duration of the outage or the inadequate temporary solution.

Equipment can fail, and I understand that. My concern is how these situations have been handled. In both cases, the pattern has been the same: poor communication, delays, and meaningful progress only after escalating the issue beyond the onsite office.

I hope Greystar addresses these problems because residents deserve timely repairs, clear communication, and reasonable accommodations when essential services fail. Read More

I have truly enjoyed residing at 2626 Fountain View. The community is well-maintained, the staff, especially Lanisha and Patrick, are professional and responsive, and the location is convenient to everything I need. The apartments themselves are beautiful, and I enjoy living here. Addressing a few issues would greatly improve the overall resident experience (garbage, door locks).
