Cool building with a lot of problems and POOR MANAGEMENT
The worst most illegally managed apartment building I have ever seen .. The elevator is always stuck the fire department is out daily !! appliances don’t work And need to be upgraded . Management is extremely rude in particular the property Manager Marcia who is not very knowledgeable about the illegal service fees they charge debit cards to pay online of $72 per transaction. Building has character but the management makes living there a nightmare

longest place i have ever lived!!
I cant stay still.. I hate living in one place for a long time.. I have to move at least every 2 yrs.. so guess what at southside on lamar I have moved 3 times.. within the same building!! been here 6 yrs now.. and I have never stayed in one place this long. I feel right at home.. it is very unique and artistic.. roomy and simple.. I just love it..

Fun
I have never lived anywhere that didn't have such fun people to be around. The lofts range in different sizes. Its only a couple blocks from the DART station and the Police HQ is right across the street. A new up and coming area in Dallas. The pool is on the rooftop and the pool area just got renovated and is so relaxing. Come on down to Dallas and check it out.

Nice, dog friendly lofts.
The Southside on Lamar lofts were converted from an old Sears building to 10 floors of lofts. The lofts itself are nice, priced well for the area, and have decent amenities.
Pros: - Allowance for up to 3 dogs per unit. - Maintenance issues are resolved in a timely manner. - Friendly residents and staff.
Cons: - Residents can be loud, especially on the weekend. - Some allow their dogs to bark continuously for long periods of time.
Overall, I would recommend Southside on Lamar;... especially if you own dogs.
