4 months in The Met

My wife and I enjoy The Met from the first day. Starting from great neighbors, fantastic design and very responsive team, this complex is a hidden gem for sure. I'd say, it's one if not the best complex in North Austin. Oh, and our beagle loves dog park so much!

Great apartments / noise issue

Living at The Met has been a great experience as far as the staff, events, and amenities. The location is within walking distance of some great entertainment, including Q2 and the train into downtown. I will warn - if you plan on living here, do not pick a floor plan that faces the warehouses to the north. You will hear dump trucks at all hours of the night and the quickly-erected, thin structure of the building will offer you no noise protection from even a sneeze outside. I will take a moment... to dote on the staff and say they have been an amazing support whenever I have had any comments, issues, or concerns. There’s not been a time that I haven’t felt heard by them and it means a lot. Thanks yall!

Love it!

The Met is one of the best places to live in Austin! The building is new, the hallways are always clean, and the amenities (pool, gym, common areas) are amazing. The maintenance team is fast, friendly, and super reliable — any issue gets fixed right away. Couldn’t be happier living here! + Q2 stadium is just nearby which is a big win!

I absolutely love this place! The management team is great and extremely responsive. The building provides really unique amenities like a weekly happy hour with complimentary cocktails and quarterly farmers markets. It’s also a great location! Highly recommend!

The location is great, and the community has potential, but the management team seriously needs to improve how they handle lease terminations and resident transitions.

I recently bought a home — a major life milestone — and tried to exit my lease the right way. I was upfront about my timeline, gave notice, and was fully prepared to pay the lease break fee and concession repayment, totaling over three months of rent. Initially, I was given a clear quote. But later, management changed course and...
attempted to add nearly $3,500 more in charges for rent — even though I was already moving out and the apartment was vacant and rent-ready.

What was most frustrating is that the staff showed no interest in re-leasing the unit or allowing an alternative like a lease transfer. It felt like they were more focused on maximizing what they could charge me than actually filling the apartment.

Residents deserve a management team that values fairness and communicates consistently — especially when they’re trying to honor their lease and move forward in life. This experience left a bad impression after what had otherwise been a positive time at the property.
