My apartment is 2b2b B2 type, the two rooms in it has huge difference which I thought was so unfair. I think it shouldn’t be the same price for totally different two rooms.

I have lived at The Accolade on Chestnut for a short while and overall it is a convenient apartment community. The location is fantastic, very close to campus and grocery stores, which makes daily life really easy. Common areas are clean and well-maintained, and building staff are generally responsive when I submit service requests. One main issue I have encountered is that my bedroom window has noticeable air leakage, which makes the room drafty and cold, especially at night. During my three-year lease at Accolade on Chestnut, I had a very comfortable experience. The building and management team did an excellent job maintaining the property.

There are a few downsides. The partition walls inside the unit are very thin and have little soundproofing, so my roommate and I could hear almost everything from each other’s rooms. Since summer 2025, one elevator has no longer been available to tenants, although it appears to still be used by staff. The trash chute room is... also very small, and the unfinished floor can become dirty and greasy.

On the positive side, the location is extremely convenient for campus travel. I could easily go home for lunch or rest between classes. Internet, electricity, and water are included in the rent, and the internet is fast. Most residents are graduate students and are generally very quiet. I haven't moved in yet, but the resident portal is terribly frustrating to navigate as I'm getting everything set up. For my first installment, the amount due did not show up on the resident portal dashboard. After emailing, I received a response that the amount due would not show up on the dashboard and I would have to input the amount to pay manually, leaving me guessing on exactly how much I need to pay. Only after making the first payment does the amount show up on the dashboard, showing the... amount I paid with a "Pay Now" button as if I still need to pay that amount. Overall, the UI of the resident portal is terribly designed and leaves the user confused on how much to pay, and once they paid, doesn't give reassurance that the payment went through. Read More

Excellent living experience, featuring a study room, gym, and mailroom. I've lived here for two years. The scenery is beautiful, and the people are very friendly.
