Beautiful apartment the view is spectacular from the 7th floor just needs a little maintenance up keep in some areas.

DON’T RENT UNLESS YOU WANT YOUR PACKAGES STOLEN

The delivery system at this apartment is the worst I’ve ever witnessed in any apartment ever. Packages are just thrown on the floor in a shared mailing room where any resident has access. There are no individual mailing boxes, no cameras, and no verification system. Over my time here, I’ve had thousands of dollars worth of packages stolen or torn into. I’ve talked to multiple other residents who frequently experience the same issue. Property Management knows and does not care, they literally... told me I’d just have to deal with it or I could send it to another address of a friend’s place or a PO Box because they won’t address it anytime soon.

The Amazon locker is often full because other residents don’t pick up their packages, so there is no other place for the delivery drivers to leave them except on the floor.

This alone has completely ruined my experience here and I would not recommend this place to anyone.

We do hate to hear how frustrating the package system has been, especially when it comes to receiving important deliveries. We have shared your feedback with the appropriate team, so they are aware of the issues being reported with the current mail... setup. While we can't speak to any specific changes at this time, please know that resident feedback like yours is taken seriously and plays an important role in evaluating potential improvements.

In the meantime, if it's an option for you, using secure delivery features offered by carriers may help reduce the chance of packages being misplaced or taken. We do also recommend personally sending complaints to the delivery companies. These complaints will assist the delivery company by providing better training to their delivery drivers to prevent situations like this in the future.

I first toured The Devon in April of 2025 when I was living out of state and knew once I moved back to Raleigh, this would be the apartment. After touring 10 other communities, I still came back to The Devon after over a year. The location can’t be beat, and the amenities for the price are incredible.

Just wanted to say we’ve been loving our new apartment so far. The amenities are amazing, everything has been super clean and well maintained, and honestly every person we’ve encountered here has been incredibly friendly and welcoming. Moving can be stressful, so it’s been really nice feeling comfortable and at home already. Super excited to be here!

The apartment itself is solid overall, but there are definitely some downsides. Since it’s located near Glenwood Ave and the nearby college scene, the hallways frequently smell like weed and parties can get pretty loud late into the night. Depending on your lifestyle, being close to the bars could either be a perk or a nuisance.

Maintenance has also been somewhat unreliable — the elevators have gone out several times during my stay, which has been frustrating. Security is another concern. The... exterior doors are often left unlocked or the locks don’t work properly, so it’s easy for non-residents to get into the building. Package theft has also been a big issue because there isn’t any secure system for mail deliveries.

Thank you for your feedback. We are always here to address any concerns you may have. For parties we do have an after hours security patrol team that can be called to assist. In order to reach them please call our direct office number and follow the... prompts. They will be sure to respond. We unfortunately can not promise that we will not experience technical difficulties however, we are here to address situations such as the elevator as soon as possible. We do have our Amazon Hub located in the parking garage which is locked with a surrounding gate. We do recommend adding to your delivery notes that you would like for your package to be delivered inside of the Hub. This will help the delivery driver know not to drop the package off outside of the hub. Please reach out to the office you would like any additional information.
