Montaje is a vibrant community in Somerville that has many features and amenities next to a host of shops, restaurants and activies for the modern individual.

While the apartment itself has some positive aspects, one major issue is the noise. Every day starting around 5 AM, large trucks create significant noise right outside, and this continues until about 7 AM. The early morning disturbance makes it very difficult to rest properly and greatly affects the overall living experience.

Been living in Montaje since 2019. Really love the apartment building, amenities and the neighborhood. Really friendly staff and unbeatable location.

We really couldn’t ask for a better place to live other than this building in assembly row. It is the perfect location and overall and wonderful experience

The building is very conveniently located - a prime spot for anyone wanting to take advantage of everything Assembly Row and downtown Boston have to offer. Great views, friendly staff, walking distance to the T, grocery stores, shops, and restaurants make it attractive.
That said, while the space is comfortable, several aspects make it far from the “luxury” label it’s marketed under:
1. Outdated indoor & outdoor appliances
2. Worn doors and windows
3. Basic gym equipment and common spaces
4... . Spotty Wi-Fi
5. Bathrooms without vents
6. Cars moving in the garage cause apartments to shake
7. Residential garage entrances shared with the public, making access difficult during business hours
8. Occasional mouse sightings in apartments
9. Trash areas that frequently smell
10. Dusty hallways
Overall, Montaje delivers on location, but the building’s condition and amenities fall short of expectations for a high-end property - especially given the competition in Boston’s rental market. Read More
