Black Mold, Broken Elevators, A Lot of Trash

Do not live here. Most tenants I’ve spoken to have had leaks issues. Ours got so bad they had to rip a hole in our bathroom ceiling; exposing us to a large amount of black mold. Not even a discussion was had to inform us that there would be construction. They did not even tell us there was black mold after doing this; we walked into our apartment and there was a hole in the ceiling. It was in between the units, meaning it’s a structural problem and not just our unit. They told us it was taken... care of when I saw they only reached areas that were reachable t from the hole they created. So, they did not get all of the mold, so it could spread further. You can even see in parts of the parking structure that there is black mold. This building should be reported to the city and shut down for the health and safety of its tenants.

Renee, the maintenance man, attempted to enter our apartment without notice or even a work order in. Meaning he’s entering units when he thinks people are not home. Imagine sitting in your living room and a random man decides to enter unit.

The trash chutes for the last two months of us living there were consistently being clogged; to the point where it was backed up to the 7th floor. That included having 3 guest parking spots serving as locations for the other excess trash to sit in. Leading to roaches.

The elevators were consistently not working. To the point, where a handicapped person had to have strangers carry them to their unit on a higher floor.

Do NOT live here. You can experience an actual luxury apartment community for the same price without all the hazards and safety issues presented by their staff. Who are more interested in the numbers than your well being.

Don’t recommend living here

I’ve love here almost a year and cannot wait to move. As previous posted have written, management is terrible and has been since I moved in. Only one person was ever helpful and he is now gone. Things here break for months without any resolve. Elevators have been down several times and the last time it was over 2 and a half weeks, stairs being the only option to go up. Parcel pending lockers broke for 4 months and people will steal packages left in mailroom or your front door. They won’t offer... anything to reconcile with their terrible problem solving to lack of amenities being offered per the lease. Doesn’t seem like it’s getting any better with constant management changes.

Don't move here.

UPDATE. (I've been here almost 3 years... it's gone from great to a total disaster. Reviews are for current management.)
Don't move here.
Staff are here 1-2 days a week. If you need something outside of that you're out of luck. Phones do not get answered.
The manager is the only person who can help with leases (or actually most things and he works at all 3 of the apartment complexes that Harbor manages in Long Beach. I've been trying for weeks to get an issue resolved and it's been impossible to...
do so.
Package lockers are broken for months at a time (this is the second time they're broken for MONTHS.) Packages are constantly stolen. You can't get anything sent here because it will get stolen. This is a huge issue since I work from home and need to get packages for my job. We should have a safe and secure package locker system.
Gym equipment broken for MONTHS at a time. Currently 2/5 treadmills broken (it was 3/5 broken for 4 months) 2/2 bikes broken. You can't use the restrooms at the gym because they are locked unless you're management. When I moved in those restrooms were accessible to residents; this seems like a necessity for people who use the gym.
You used to be able to buzz guests into the garage but you can't do that anymore either. It's just really challenging to live here.
Keeping 2 stars because I still like the design of the apartment. I would want to stay here if the rest of the building wasn't such a disaster.

DO NOT LIVE HERE

Absolutely horrible living experience. Previous owners (SaresRegis) did nothing to fix anything and current owners (Harbor Group Management) is even worse. We have 2 elevators - 1 of which has been broken continuously and without repairs for over 3 months. There is constantly cigarette butts and black and mild tips everywhere. They say they are dog friendly but they actually hate all dogs. They refuse to fix broken TVs, lights in common areas, and clean up the property. The front door has been... broken for months which allows homeless to infiltrate the property on a nightly basis.

Don’t move here

Poorly managed, the amenity spaces haven’t worked for several months, multiple car break ins on a weekly basis because there’s no security nor does the leasing office do anything to improve security. Besides that leasing agents are rude and never in the office.
