I have enjoyed living at the Outpost for a couple years now and will be staying another year. The staff from the office to maintence as well as the managers have been nice and helpful when needed. Staff/Maintenance have been quick to respond to any issues I have had in the past. Would recommend if you want somewhere close to campus to call home.

My son moved in this year and has said good things about the complex and staff. When my wife and I visit during football season the shuttle to the stadium is a plus! Good amenities. Would recommend as a parent for your child that wants to live close to campus and a decent price. My son will be staying another year.

I have lived at the Outpost for a couple years now and have singed another lease for my last year at Baylor. The apartments are close to campus to walk but offer a shuttle to campus. The apartments themselves are nice and spacious. I have made some friends at some of the community events they have through out the year, They offer good amenities especially since some of the updates to them. Note this is NOT a student-only apartment complex.

First of all, this apartment complex is not that safe. There are always people not from the apartment complex parked or loitering outside, especially toward the back of the back building (6). It also always reeks of weed. And car-breaking & theft is common at night.

Secondly, have had multiple issues occur during my time here. For example, the building I stayed at was left without AC for HOURS during the summer, and it was impossible to get... in contact with ANYONE (they never answered their phone, including the emergency phone). Items in my fridge and freezer had to be thrown out since it was that long before electricity came back, and we never heard anything from management regarding what had happened, what they did to act on the issue, or even to just apologize.??

Also, you don’t get a say on what building or apartment you’re placed in. This is common for nearby apartment complexes that have a high volume of student residents. But if you’re placed on the third floor and/or facing the pool you will get charged a fee. Again, you don’t have a say on where you are placed, and relocation fees are $300 even in transition periods (between move-in & move-out), so returning residents are being charged more to change apartments than new residents (application fee is just $100).

Also, don't bother with calling the office. It is a joke how many tries and how long it takes to finally get someone to answer the phone. Read More

I lived at the Outpost from 2022-2023. During my ten-month lease, I had countless problems that the staff never dealt with. My apartment was dirty and disgusting when I moved in, I had 5 leaks throughout the year that I had to deal with because maintenance wouldn't come by, the pool was closed from March through May (the end of my lease), the basketball hoop was broken for 4 months, and much more. On top of it all, I got charged a cleaning and painting fee that I know isn't even conducted on the... apartment because mine was dirty when I moved in.
