I've been a resident at Barron Park for close to five years. It has been a pleasant experience for me. Maintenance is usually pretty on top of things. This wasn't the case this past weekend.
My air conditioner went out Saturday, August 1, at about 5:30p.m. I called for "emergency" maintenance several times. My calls were returned by an automated recording stating this wasn't an emergency and would be taken care of during regular business hours. I was floored by this response. The temperature in... my apartment was 85 degrees and rising.
On Sunday, August 2, I began calling again for an "emergency" maintenance request. I was receiving the same automated return call. About 5:20 p.m maintenance supervisor shows up regarding my issue. It was repaired within 30 minutes.
We spent(my 95 year old mom was here with me) 24 hours in my 90+degree apartment.
Barron Park dropped the ball BIG time on this one! I was blown away at how unprofessional this matter was handled regarding my air conditioning. There is a heat advisory everyday, but your recording states it's not an emergency!
I honestly believe someone was not willing to interrupt their weekend to do their job!
I am a fair person. As I stated above my experience here has been pretty good. My experience with Maintenance and office staff.
This time my experience was horrible!!!

No resident should experience an extended period of discomfort during high summer temperatures, and this... feedback about the emergency response process is important for us to review closely. Robert Robert, Maintenance, had my three (3) smoke detector alarm batteries replaced within an hour or so of putting in the service request. It was awesome.
