Poor management response

Extremely disappointing management response. After two months of construction, which was of course very noisy, nails were left scattered all over the roads. When I reported a flat tire caused by this, management didn’t even bother to follow up. Not even a single response for the past 3 months.

Overall, I have enjoyed my experience living at Avana Lexington. I have lived here since 2023 and enjoy the area and the convenience of where Avana is located. I think that communication could be a little better when it comes to certain things, but I understand that things may happen and sometimes the process can be hindered. I've gone through 2 unit transfers and both were extremely stressful, but I appreciate the patience of the leasing agents and how they were able to offer what information... they could at the time.

The only thing I enjoy about Avana Lexington is the spacious apartment and layout of the apartment.

Otherwise, living here has caused me a lot of stress and has wrecked my confidence in renting any future apartment.


While there is many aspects I could comment on, the poor maintenance team, the lack of effective communication with the office and the near absent follow through on anything are the biggest problems of all.

I am still currently living with brown recluse spiders and it took them...
nearly 3 weeks to even provide me with my first round of pest control treatment, that wasn’t even the right treatment for this kind of pest, and was told that these spiders are nothing to worry about. I understand that we live in the woods in middle TN, but a proper apartment complex should be being proactive to keep their communities members safe, and should be spraying around the property and effectively clearing up infestations from these pests instead of letting the problem get worse. What I didn’t appreciate was being told to pretty much deal with it while I know that these pests can cause serious harm to my health. I still have to sleep with long sleeves, long pants and socks to feel somewhat safe from them biting me in my sleep. I actively find them nearly every week and am counting my days until I can leave this complex. It’s been a nightmare.

I have had many work orders say they were complete yet no maintenance person in sight. I had a broken dishwasher for over a month with rotting water growing mold sitting at the bottom of it. Health hazard.

While I have more to comment on after nearly 2 years of living here, the most recent complaint is the fact that I could not live in my apartment for nearly a month because of the water damage from the ice storm. Now while I understand that this was from a natural disaster out of the complexes hands, the fact that my flooring is still not done and was told they do it last week and the workers have never even checked on my apartment makes me believe they think the workers is complete. I have reached out to the office many times and have the same email literally copied and pasted, brushing off my concerns. Then my last email has completely gone unanswered. At this point I only have about 3 1/2 months left on my lease, and yes counting down the days until I can leave this nightmare, I am just choosing to live with an incomplete apartment that I’m paying full price for still,


Overall, I will not be renewing my release

I’ve had a great experience living here. The apartment itself is clean and thoughtfully designed, with plenty of space and lots of natural light. The layouts feel more like townhouses than apartments, and sound does not travel through the walls—you truly don’t hear your neighbors. Speaking of neighbors, everyone is very nice and polite, which adds to the welcoming atmosphere. It feels like you’re out of town, yet you’re less than eight minutes from multiple shopping centers, making it the... perfect balance of peaceful and convenient.
