I've lived at The Chimneys for about 2.5 years now and have consistently been pleased with the cleanliness and maintenance of the property, the customer service of the leasing office, and the comfort of my unit. I highly recommend!

It’s a pretty quiet safe place for your children to play with a park area and community pool friendly staff with community events that take place throughout the year the property is maintained/upkeep is very well

I like how each apartment building only has 8 different units which make the area quiet with very little foot traffic. Leasing staff is very polite & will help you out in any way they can- I worked with Alvarez & Liz who were both very pleasant. Community needs a gym & fitness center asap- it is the only complex out of 10 that I toured which doesn’t have one. I do enjoy the tennis & soccer courts for exercise at least. The apartments smell like cigarettes and marijuana due to neighbors smoking.

The paperwork process was a little tough but the gift card was a nice touch. It would have been nice to have been shown more than one apartment. Alvarez is a warm smile each visit to the office.

This is by far the most disgusting and poorly maintained place I have ever lived. There is black mold everywhere and roaches throughout the units. The smell of weed comes through the vents daily from neighboring apartments. Nothing is truly updated—it’s just a fresh coat of paint over mold and water damage. Instead of fixing leaks properly, management has sprayed white Kilz over the mold three times in a single year.

During my time here, I developed the worst breathing problems of my life. It... took them 11 months to fix a simple ice maker. I requested pest control three separate times to stop bugs crawling in under the door seals—no lasting results. I experienced two water leaks, one caused by maintenance doing a poor job. When the entire kitchen and apartment flooded, all they did was vacuum up the water and set out fans. I personally told maintenance several times that mold was forming under the flooring, and they never took it seriously.

At one point, I even had urine and water leaking from the apartment above into my bathroom. When I called maintenance urgently around midnight, I was asked, “Will it be okay until morning?” That response says everything about how little they care.

The property itself is also a mess. The large garbage compactor is broken and just sits in the parking lot surrounded by overflowing trash. I feel bad for the tenants living near it.

As for management—Liz and her team are a joke. The older lady who works weekends has no idea what she’s doing and couldn’t answer basic move-in questions. When I moved out, she was still just as unhelpful. Liz herself is robotic and completely impersonal.

Please, do not move here. This place is a health hazard and a disgrace. The only reason it remains “affordable” is because they can’t keep the units full due to the horrible conditions. Save yourself the stress, the illness, and the disgust—run, don’t walk, away from this place. Read More
