After more than 15 years of peaceful living in Pittsburgh, PA, relocating to Long Island near Stony Brook University was a major life change for my family. We searched for a place that would feel like home, and trusted friends repeatedly recommended Eagle Rock Nesconset. Today, I understand why.

From the very first interaction, the entire team demonstrated professionalism, patience, responsiveness, and genuine care. Moving across states is never easy, but they guided me through every step of... the application process and ensured everything moved smoothly.

A special thank you to Mr. Anil Thomas, whose leadership, responsiveness, and commitment to residents are evident in every interaction. Jessie Swarovski was always empathetic, attentive, and on top of every detail.

On move-in day, Mr. Ahmed was waiting outside my apartment to welcome us. He showed us every detail of the apartment and even offered to help with unloading. Mr. Jose was equally wonderful and helped park our trailer during move-in, turning a stressful situation into a seamless experience.

What touched us deeply was the kindness of Ahmed's family, who welcomed my family and made us feel part of the community from day one. Their warmth and hospitality reflected values that go far beyond customer service.

I cannot forget Mr. Mike, whose passion for quality and resident satisfaction is exceptional. Whenever I requested a small adjustment, he went above and beyond expectations.

I also want to thank Mr. Roberto from Finance, who took ownership of a rent-related issue, resolved it promptly, and followed up afterward. That accountability speaks volumes about Eagle Rock's culture.

What I found here was not just an apartment, but kindness, professionalism, integrity, and genuine human connection.

Management and maintenance staff have been the best part of living here. Firstly, Shari in the leasing office is easy to reach and handles issues quickly. She’s been amazing and very helpful. Secondly, Mike the Super and all the maintenance staff are great. They are quick to handle any issue and are very professional. Everyone goes above and beyond.

The description of this apartment community says, "it's where convenience meets luxury." This apartment community is not luxury.

I moved to the apartment without seeing the unit first since I lived several hours away, and the pictures, virtual tour, and descriptions said it was "luxury". I was also moving into a newly renovated unit with all the upgrades, so I was expecting a nice high-end place to live. When I moved in the unit had a crack all down the living room wall and there was no... intention of fixing it. That was the first tip off.

In reality, these are old buildings where some units have been renovated with some nice finishes but have all the same issues of an old building and property. I lived there for 2 years and ultimately bought out my lease to move. If you’re just looking for somewhere that is slightly less expensive than other places in the area and don’t care about the amenities, then these are fine.

Here are some of the issues I experienced:
1. In the back of the facility there is a waste processing facility. While the horrible smell wasn’t as bad after the construction ended, there are still many days a year where the complex smells horribly.

2. The light switch in my office/den was somehow wired to an outlet in my kitchen so I could never use the kitchen outlet. While they told me this, they did not fix it.

3. You cannot control your heat aside from opening or closing a small flap. My apartment was unbearably hot. I had to keep my window open all winter long and only closed it once when it was -10 degrees outside.

4. The air conditioners in the summer did not have enough BTUs to cool the place adequately. I had two brand new units when I moved in and one broke each of the two summers I lived there. They did replace them, but they just weren’t good units. Plus, they are ill-fitted in the hole so bugs crawl right in.

5. Laundry rooms are dirty, extremely hot in the summer and cold in the winter. The card to pay for the laundry is anything but convenient. I ended up sending my laundry out with a service.

6. You can hear and smell everything through the walls too – including multiple neighbors who party /stay up till 3am or 4am and smoke marijuana.

7. The office staff turnover frequently so even though I keep asking to buy out my lease, it took 5 months to get someone who was able to help me to actually follow up, and only after I called the corporate office.

Very good apartments , I like living here. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Where to start? People have too many cars- or visitors park in the resident parking so if you get home after 8 or like to go out after 8, you will be parking tediously at the exit of the complex, or on the highway. The lease specifically says you are not guaranteed a parking spot so there is nothing you can do. There is also a mouse problem. The walls are paper thin and the floors creak pretty bad if you live downstairs. Insanely hot in the winter so much so that you will need a fan in the... window. $300 water fee annually. Two laundry rooms with half of the machines broken. Spend the extra money to live elsewhere. Maybe management was different from the previous review. But renter beware now, it sucks. Read More
