Loved living here

I lived here from 2014-2016. The landlords and building maintenance were great. Never had problems with neighbors or the building as a whole. The location is very central and still tucked away on Richfield lake. The biggest problem I ever had was canadien geese and ducks that might be making noise or walking through the parking lot. They plowed, kept the property up and made it a very affordable and happy place to live. A week before moving out did a quick walk through with property... managers, they gave me a checklist of things they'd like me to do and said they would take care of the rest like painting walls and shampooing the carpet. I got my full security deposit back just after I moved out.

Useless maintenance.

I've lived in the "complex" for 6 years and it's raised in price and dropped in quality each year. I don't exactly expect much from a reasonably priced apartment that was built in the 50's, but basic maintenance is one thing I DO expect. I've had non-stop issues with ants, and drainage problems since the day I moved in. Despite numerous requests and pleading with them to fix it, the problem persists.
Was not believed when I said a heater broke in winter and spent about a week in 50 - 60 degree...
temperatures. Also spent an entire week without a refrigerator because they took so long to get back to me and order a new one. So I was out over $100 in groceries.

The cat "deposit" is now better described as a fee. When I first rented from them they would return the "deposit" if there was no damage to carpets. Now they still charge a $300 "deposit" per cat, but it is now non-refundable, even if you have perfectly behaved cats. The location is nice, and the neighborhood is lovely and quiet. But you have to put up with a lot of unpleasantness in your own apartment to enjoy the city around you.
