dirty place. worst Management

I wish I can give 0.0 stars ! Although I always paid on time, Management tried to charge for late fees that never happened. When I tried to discuss the issue, they never answered my calls. Took me several weeks and multiple emails to solve the situation. Rented for two years and management never took care of the building. Hallways and stairs were covered with dirt and mold. At the end of the contract, they charged $50.00 for cleaning even when the inspector said it was perfectly cleaned by us.

Inconsistent Management

I lived comfortably at this apartment for five years and enjoyed the many amenities that they offered such as a pool, a campus shuttle, and a highly equipped gym. The rent was relatively cheap compared to other places in town, and with all these amenities, it seemed like an ideal place to live. However, over time I noticed inconsistencies with the maintenance
of the gym machines, the pool, and the internet. They ended the shuttle service soon after the pandemic, machines are often
broken or...
jammed,
and because of a storm, I have been without wifi for three days, and there doesn't seem to be a resolution coming anytime soon. The pool hasn't opened until July the past two years due to poor maintenance (the pool was green at one point), and this year they are "waiting for a part from a supplier." That email was sent a month ago, and the pool still isn't open. They also deduct money from your deposit if you choose to let them clean your carpets once you move out.

My suggestion is to consider a smaller apartment complex that may offer better amenities, maintenance, and a more professional staff.

The apartment looks clean and well kept from the outside, but don't be deceived by what you see. They let the amenities fall by the waist side.

Would give 0 stars if I could

First of all don’t trust the star ratings on the main page. Notice how most of the reviews are 1-star but somehow the app still rates this place as 4.5 stars! Not a chance! Now on to my review...

I finished my lease last summer. The apartment was left in the exact same condition it was found (including the carpet). After move out, the apartment management explained that the carpet hasn’t been replaced in 5 years, and even though the company actually replaces carpets on a 5-year schedule...
routinely, they inform me that I will be responsible for the cost to replace the carpet.

So far this is “par for the course”. Everyone knows how sketchy apartment management companies can be when it comes to refunding deposits. No surprise there. The next part is where it gets interesting.

Knowing that the facts of the story are on my side, I hired an attorney, notified the apartment of my decision, and the had the apartment manager served with a cease and desist letter regarding the alleged “past-due account” from the carpet charge.

In retaliation, the apartment manager expedited the account to a collection agency and refused to communicate with the attorney. Once the account was on record with the collection agency and subsequently reported to the credit bureaus, I then had no choice but to file a lawsuit to have the matter dismissed.

Now I decide it would have been far cheaper just to pay for the darn carpet fee (evidently it’s very cheap carpet - no surprise there) than to file a lawsuit and fight it out in court.

The problem is that the account has already been (fraudulently) reported to the credit bureaus as a bad debt. So even if I pay (whether I settle or pay in full), it still results in tainting my credit report for 7 years. So far there has been no indication that the apartment manager and/or collection agency will agree to a deletion of the collections account if the account is paid in full (and at this point, the deletion of the collections account is the only outcome that is acceptable).

And I wonder just how many international students in Bloomington have been treated this way... is it hundreds? maybe thousands?

Maybe a news story needs to be published about these bullies. Or maybe a class action law suit needs to be filed.

Millennium - if you’re reading this (and I hope you are) - you should know that you’re not fooling anybody. This is illegal exploitation. And you should be held accountable.

LIVE ELSEWHERE

I've lived here for 3-1/2 years and this complex has only gone down hill. Save your money and live elsewhere. Since the management change, the staff is unprofessional, inconsiderate, and unhelpful. There is inadequate parking requiring you to walk 0.42 miles to park legally. My kitchen has flooded twice. There are major spider, ant, and mold issues. As well as people not cleaning up after their pet waste. This is the absolute worst apartment experience ever. There are MUCH nicer, more affordable... , and friendlier places to reside in Bloomington. It is not worth the amenities.
