Be cautious about potential overcharges when moving out. We were demanded to pay the night he sent the move out bill which we later find out it was only an estimated bill. When asking for an itemized bill he added in multiple other bogus charges to compensate for the ridiculously high overcharged bill he originally charged us for.
Our electric bill was extremely high during the winter months. A 2 bedroom apartment that we had would average around $300-$400 a month with a temp set at 71 degrees... . (And even at 71 the apartment felt cold) Furnace is extremely loud…would need to turn TV up to the highest volume to hear anything.
Would also recommend asking the landlord to put anything in writing to prevent him charging you for things that were already agreed upon. Ironically we were not given an email address to have any paper trail of anything until after we moved out when he wanted to collect money. Also, homeless people were found sleeping in the bushes right in front of our apartment at the church and we were yelled at from a homeless person sitting at the bus stop looking into our apartment.
