Hidden Gem

I enjoyed my time staying at Huckleberry Hills. It was about a 7-8min drive to the main gate on post, which was very convenient for me. Ms. Shelby, the manager, was always so responsive and friendly! She will help you with anything you need. It is located on exit 3, which is generally a rougher area, but the complex is sort of “hidden in plain sight.” I never had any issues living there. It’s difficult to beat this spot for convenience and cost. If I am ever back in the Columbus area, I will... absolutely visit with Ms. Shelby and some of my neighbors.

Quiet apartment tucked away on Saint Mary's

I'm in the Army and when I PCSed to Fort Moore for school, I was in a scramble to find a place to stay. Fortunately, I found Huckleberry hill apartments. The location is phenomenal and accessible, 185 is just down the road and the commute is roughly 15 min to main post or harmony church. During my stay from Nov 2022 to Dec 2023 I have had one incident with the air conditioning unit, which was promptly taken care of by maintenance.

If you are looking for a place to stay, please reach out to Mrs.... Shelby. She is responsive, attentive, and helpful. I highly recommend this location.

Peaceful Place To Live

Although the property is located on the South side of town and violence may happen all around, for the most part nothing happens here. It is very quiet, calm, and peaceful. The property manager always does her best! She's very professional, she get things done in a timely and orderly fashion including maintenance needs. The only thing to me that will keep it from getting five stars, is it does not have assigned parking. If you don't get home early enough and have body pains or groceries, you may... have the challenge of walking a little distance to your apartment from your car.

Great place to live.


Huckleberry Hill is a great place to live. Mrs Shelby is very knowledgeable, professional and personable. She makes sure if you have any maintenance issue it is handled in a timely manner. Any issues at all, she and her staff are great!! Huckleberry Hill, a great place to live!!
