Creekside of Auburn is located in Auburn, AL in the 36830 zip code.
I have lived in Creekside for 2 years now, and going back I wish I would’ve lived anywhere else. Auburn has an abundance of housing other than apartments downtown, meaning that there are people of standalone houses and townhomes similar to creekside that are similar price but ran much better.
Downsides: Creekside WIFI DOES NOT WORK. They refuse to fix it, and it is not possible to have your own wifi because they made a deal with “Whitesky” to have them as the sole provider. It’s awful,... imagine trying to do schoolwork, watch movies, FaceTime family, or do quite literally anything and it not work even slightly consistently. It has caused me so much headache over the past two years, imagine what it was like during Covid. Absolutely awful. Other downside is their management is dreadful. They never seem to help anyone.
Positives: The complex is really nice, and they do not tow. The pool is nice. It is a wonderful place for people with dogs, very simple to walk them around neighborhood and plenty of room. It’s not too far from downtown, and it’s close to plenty of food options.
My apartment has been nice, but it has renovated when I got it. I’ve heard of a LOT worse. I do suggest to anyone I meet to live here, pretty hard to live while in college with NO WIFI.

Poor management
I’ve lived here for two years out of convenience but units are very 50/50 if you get a good one or not. Move in was extremely messy and units were not cleaned or painted per lease. Managers are rude and lazy and will not listen to college students. Property director is great, but doesn’t make up for the damage done by managers. Walls are extremely thin as well (to the extent of hearing the unit above me unrolling toilet paper in their bathroom).

You can find better.
I've lived in 2 other apartment complexes in the area before Creekside and although this isn't the worst place, it's not worth it for how much rent is. The management and maintenance here are horrible with communication, efficiency, and effectiveness. I've been here 7.5 months and have had a working dishwasher for only 3 of them; it was broken when we moved in and didn't get fixed for a month, then broke again 3.5 months later. Wifi works about 80% of the time, and it's slow when it does work; I... can't hold a conversation during Zoom calls due to the constant lag in connection and must either use my cellphone's hotspot or drive somewhere else. Management doesn't seem to care about the problems above or minor problems within the community (dog poop everywhere, gate always broken, cheap/defective bathroom fixtures), and if they do care they are ineffective at solving anything. The pool and clubhouse are nice, it is helpful to have free parking for you and any guests, and our unit is on par with any other college student complex in the area in terms of quality, but I would not live here if given another chance to choose.
