I lived at Alta Porter in Brookhaven for over three years. For the last two, I battled recurring mold and moisture throughout my unit — ruining clothing, furniture, and personal belongings. Despite multiple maintenance requests and visible proof of mold, management repeatedly denied there was a problem, blaming “airflow” and refusing any reimbursement.
My HVAC filter wasn’t changed for almost a year (behind a locked panel), and I was left to handle medical issues and thousands of dollars in... property damage on my own. Even after independent testing showed mold, they refused to provide internal test results. The final “solution” was an offer to leave without penalty — no compensation.
Do not rent here if you value your health or belongings. The units trap moisture, and management shows zero accountability when problems arise.

Please know that we take all... maintenance concerns, especially those related to health and building quality, very seriously. From the time your concerns were brought to our attention, our team followed established protocols, involved licensed third-party vendors, and conducted multiple inspections to investigate and address the issues reported. While those findings did not indicate any ongoing hazard, we understand that you still felt uncomfortable in your home.
Our goal is always to provide a well-maintained, quality living environment and to support our residents however we can. We regret that, despite our efforts, we were not able to meet your expectations. We remain committed to listening, improving, and assisting our residents with care and respect.

Excellent staff, amazing apartment complex
Excellent and friendly staff. Maintenance comes right away with any requests and are wonderful! Ray goes above and beyond! The leasing staff are very friendly and helpful as well. It’s overall an excellent apartment complex with great amenities and wonderful staff!
