I would NOT recommend Vida at Health Village.

Relocating from another state, I signed my lease in December 2022 and arrived for move-in, only to discover the building was in the process of changing ownership with a new property management company.

The building was initially well maintained but quickly deteriorated under new management. The parking garage would have remnants of dried vomit and half eaten fast food meals, left uncleaned for weeks at a time. Dogs were constantly peeing and... pooping in the elevators, hallways, and stairwells. Non-residents were constantly waiting to follow you into the parking garage.

At most management would e-mail a notice or post a sign in the elevator to address issues. Otherwise, there was zero enforcement or follow through.

Amenities that initially appeared attractive, were practically unusable due to extremely cold air conditioning, random loud music constantly playing, and business center rooms that smelled of fast food and lacked soundproofing.

The location was only convenient if you worked across the street at the hospital but that was it. The surrounding area didn't feel unsafe but there were constantly homeless people hanging out around the building and the sidewalks were always littered with garbage and dog poop.

Nearly everyone residing at Vida at Health Village when I moved in are long gone or quickly departing, hence the dozens of vacant units.

I like living here with the exception of the noise. Management does not do anything about it. Walls are thin and there are a lot of gatherings in the courtyard at night. If you live on the courtyard side it echos.

This property is great! The property recently transitioned management and have handled it extremely well. They are extremely helpful and willing to find you an apartment that meets your needs (shoutout to Delia!).

Pros:
1. This gym has a squat rack, dumbbells, machines, and barbells, reducing the need to buy a gym membership. Also has free coffee in 3 rooms, offices and meeting rooms you can rent out all day, and free internet in the amenity centers
2. Great location: near Mills 50, walking... distance to AdventHealth, 5-10 minute drive to Downtown Orlando, Downtown Winter Park, and Downtown College Park, and 30 minutes to Disney
3. Traffic isn't bad if you take Dade Ave. vs N. Orange Ave.

Cons (Things that might not make it ideal):
1. Next to I4 so you get some of the noise, though it's not very bad and sounds like white noise
2. Sometimes you can hear others music in other rooms if the bass is heavy (that's kind of everywhere though)
3. Gym could get busy at past 5pm, but neighbors are super nice and are willing to work in with you. Read More

This place has extremely thin walls and flooring you hear everything upstairs and to your sides. I have had trouble sleeping here for months with all the noise. I constantly hear footsteps, music, conversations, tv etc... There is absolutely no peace here I can't wait to move out.
