At first glance, The Vineyards at Hammock Ridge appears to be a nice apartment community, but my experience living there for a year was extremely disappointing.
The apartments seem to have been built with minimal attention to quality. There is virtually no soundproofing between units, so be prepared to hear your neighbors' conversations, televisions, coughing, sneezing, and other everyday noises.
As a first-floor resident, I also dealt with ongoing pest issues, including insects and even... baby snakes finding their way into my apartment. Maintenance concerns were frequent, and I submitted more work orders during my one year at this property than I did during nearly a decade at another apartment complex in Clermont.
Communication and management were equally frustrating. Getting in touch with the leasing office was often difficult, and the current Property Manager was largely absent and unwilling to engage with residents. The Assistant Manager's communication style came across as passive-aggressive, and I frequently felt that resident concerns were being dismissed or misrepresented rather than addressed.
Prospective residents with disabilities should be especially cautious. While the complex advertises accessibility features and elevators in select buildings, the elevators were frequently out of service and, at times, reportedly not properly licensed for operation. Despite these ongoing issues, management showed little effort to provide reasonable accommodations or alternative solutions.
Safety was another concern. The dog park area was poorly lit, and I personally witnessed suspicious activity there at night, including apparent drug use and physical altercations. I did not feel comfortable using that area after dark.
The property's gated entry also provides little real security. Although the gate was recently activated, the access code was openly displayed near the entry system, making it easily accessible to anyone entering the community.
Overall, this property did not provide the quality, responsiveness, or sense of security that its rental rates suggest. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend The Vineyards at Hammock Ridge and would encourage prospective renters to thoroughly research alternative options before signing a lease.

I like the amenities, elevator access and gated community but those things did not work for 8months of my lease so defeated the purpose of the reason I chose Vineyards at Hammock Ridge. I will be visiting the office in May.
