We have lived here for 3 years at this point and have a pretty good experience so far.
THE GOOD: Prime location situated in the middle of 3 neighborhoods (Adams Morgan, U Street and Columbia Heights). There is a nice Harris Teeter right around the corner. Malcom X/Meridian Hill Park literally across the street. Pet Friendly. The rooftop is modern and amazing with its indoor lounge area, gyms and roof deck. Maintenance is dependable and responded in a timely manner. The building is rent... controlled and went month to month after the first year which has been great. The leasing office has also been putting on catered community events every few months that are fun.
THE BAD: The building is over 100 years old and although they are renovating most units, it's still an old building, this has not caused too many issues but you should be aware. The blue paint and carpet isn't the prettiest but thats just aesthetic. The rooftop is nice and modern. We also have had some bugs but they have pest control visit every week and once the issue has gone away we requested they no longer visit weekly and its been good since. I did have an issue with an attempted bike theft but the front desk was very helpful and the bike storage was moved indoors rather than outside. I would prefer if there was a section that required a fob to enter but am happy they at least made a change. Finally, the leasing office can be slow to respond/help in general but as a resident we don't interact often.
