Living here was fine at first, but the building declined a lot over the two years we were residents. Rules weren’t enforced, the hallways often smelled like dog urine, and the elevators were constantly out of service. Within the first three months of moving in, we also had issues with nearly every appliance in our unit.
CURRENT AND FUTURE RENTERS BEWARE: The biggest issue came at move-out. Management skipped our scheduled inspection and didn’t go into the unit until after we had already left —... which immediately gave us the feeling they were setting things up to try and charge us unfairly. Sure enough, they’re now billing us for bogus charges that fall under normal wear and tear, like carpet cleaning and painting. We provided clear video and photo evidence showing the apartment was left in great condition, while their inspection photos from were low quality, shadowed, and misleading.
To make matters worse, their corporate collections rep has been threatening to send us to collections even though the charges are actively in dispute. We’ve moved out almost 2 months ago and these issues STILL HAVE NOT BEEN RESOLVED! It’s been “escalated to corporate” yet no one from corporate has followed up and the girl handling this ordeal is conveniently out of the office until the day they plan on sending us to collections over this.
Overall, we DO NOT RECOMMEND this property. DO NOT RENT WITH EQUITY APARTMENTS - they have multiple properties. The way management handles move-outs feels like a scam, and it completely ruined what was otherwise a decent living experience.

Terrible, non-communicative, scammer management
At first the property seemed fine, but the quality declined quickly. Common areas were poorly maintained, the elevators were frequently down, and several of our appliances failed within the first few months.
The real frustration came at move-out. Management skipped the scheduled walkthrough and later hit us with charges for normal wear and tear like carpet cleaning and paint. We provided clear photos showing the unit was in good shape, but their inspection materials were vague and misleading.... To make things worse, corporate threatened collections even though the charges are still in dispute, and no one has followed up despite repeated promises.
Bottom line: what could have been a decent living experience was overshadowed by how poorly move-outs are handled. They must be failing financially given how they are trying to scam tenants in good standing. I would strongly advise looking elsewhere before signing at Skyhouse or with Equity Apartments.

best apartment homes in Denver
Without a doubt, Skyhouse is the best apartment home community in Denver! The residents and staff are all very friendly. I've never had a bad experience with any residents or staff here - this place seems to attract happy, kind, positive people. The location is super convenient and centrally located around anything you'd need in a city. Choice Market downstairs has amazing made to order food and grocery. The rooftop lounge offers the best views in Downtown Denver and is an excellent spot to cook... on one of the grills or read a book in one of the lounge chairs. The gym has everything you'd need to workout every muscle and cardio equipment to keep you active. Really don't think I could live anywhere else. This place is just amazing and words cannot explain how wonderful it is here.

There are rodents and rude neighbors
If you are complacent with sharing a 50-100 square foot pool with 23 other floors of overly aggressive snots that will trash the halls, each other, and the concierges that try to keep the whole building safe, the low utilities and decent location may be worth it. Otherwise, just go home, put some fairy lights on your desk, and pretend you’ve got a few homeless people outside every day. It’ll be just like the city without rodents, a-holes, and an overpriced quality of life.
