I’ve lived in a few places on the Westside, but Louella Apartments stands out as one of the best. The building has a modern boutique vibe that’s very quiet and perfect for me as a young professional. The units are spacious, and the finishes are new, which is rare for Venice. The kitchen is a standout, with plenty of counter space and decent storage—something you don’t always find in this neighborhood. Having an in-unit washer and dryer is a huge plus, too.

The location is ideal, centered... between Mar Vista and Abbott Kinney. It’s a short walk to either, and the beach is just a bike ride away. The street itself is quiet, with a mix of long-term residents and some short-term rentals, so it doesn’t feel too transient. There are coffee shops and restaurants within walking distance, which makes life easy.

The management is responsive—when I had a minor issue with the shower, they fixed it within a day. The building is well-maintained, and the rooftop is great for when you want to sit outside. The views from the rooftop all the way to Hollywood are amazing.
