During the time I have lived here, the building has had 4 different owners, but the current management has been by far the worst. In the last year, we have had more problems than during the previous 10 years combined.

The biggest issue is that management does not respond, even when the problem is serious.

About a year ago, someone broke my car window and stole belongings from inside. I contacted manager Jason asking for security footage or anything that could help. He ignored my calls and... messages.

The main entrance door is constantly left open and does not properly secure the building. I emailed management asking them to repair it, but nothing was done. Because of this, homeless people regularly enter the building.

In March, while I was at work and my wife was home alone, a mentally unstable homeless person entered the building, came to our apartment, tried to get inside, and aggressively hit our door. Even after this, management did not properly fix the entrance.

Package theft is also common. At least five of my packages were stolen during the last year. We were told an Amazon locker would be installed, but that never happened.

For almost a year, Jason ignored my emails, texts, calls, maintenance requests, and safety concerns. Sometimes I had to contact the landlord, Shaun.

Then yesterday, Jason suddenly called to tell me I have to move my 2 cars to different parking spaces. The new spaces are tandem, while for the last 10 years I have had two spaces next to each other.

When I explained that I had used my current spaces for 10 years and did not want to move, his attitude was rude and dismissive. Instead of explaining the situation respectfully, he spoke as if tenants simply have to do whatever management says.

Management cannot answer emails, calls, maintenance requests, theft complaints, or safety concerns, but they can suddenly call when they want a tenant to move their cars.

I am a business owner myself, and I understand how customers and tenants should be treated. Living here now feels like tenants have no voice while real problems are ignored.

There are plenty of issues that deserve attention: roaches, the broken entrance door, poor security, homeless people entering the property, package theft, and lack of regular maintenance.

After everything we experienced during the last year, we decided it is time to leave and look for another apartment.

This apartment is pretty well located. It is easy to get most everywhere including lots of interesting places on Hollywood Blvd. The price has been fairly reasonable until recently. We just got a notice on our door saying the rent is going up from $1600 to $1900. That's why we're moving out.
The new price actually puts these apartments in a similar bracket with Hollywood area apartments. The downside to these apartments is that they are not always well maintained. Up until a few months our... elevator was out of service. It was out for seven about six or seven months. During this time, I was using crutches and it was rough going.
The railing on the back steps was painted a couple months ago, which was nice, but the neon green painters tape is still attached to the wall. The floors in the hallway are never cleaned, but painted over every couple of years or so. A new "fitness room" has been added and has recently opened, but so far there is just a single treadmill in it.
The door to the parking garage has been jimmied open since I've lived here. About 3 years. Consequently, my car was broken into last night. There are often transients in out garage doing suspicious things and our mail has also been tampered with.
I don't want to make this place sound worse than it is. I have mostly enjoyed living here, but if the rent is going up, we haven't been seeing any of the benefits to cleanliness or safety. Hope this helps Read More

The apartments are as up to date on the exterior, yet the interior is updated and well unkept. Maintenance request don't really take that long and a good price for the area.
