If you're thinking about moving here, I'll give you my honest feedback. I moved in a year ago as a room mate with my friend. I had a cool unit by the pool. Everything was pretty outdated and no natural light comes in any of the apartments. After that, I decided to get my own apartment at Camden, a one bedroom unit.
The first hour of moving into this apartment I could hear my neighbor upstairs STOMPING every.... single...day... I could hear them walking from living room to kitchen back and... forth back and forth, and then the dog running around, even with my TV on and my fans on... It would shake my apartment.
The NEXT THING - lol, the best part... my apartment faces the back side of the building... next to the DUMPSTERS. The garbage trucks pick up and SLAM the dumpsters so loud that it scares me every single time. It's literally SO loud every time between the sound of the truck, the dumpsters, the squeaking of the gears in the dumpster lifts, and the SMELL. Yeah, not the best thing.
Neighbors downstairs smoked weed every single day. It would go RIGHT into my bedroom into my cats face... and my cat would start coughing. Yeah, exactly what I want. OH and then I close my windows and now my ENTIRE apartment inside smells like weed. I called and complained 4-5 times, nothing happened. Nothing changed. No emails sent out. I won't even bring up the details of the cigarette smells each day too.
People above me would pour water out often and it would leak onto my balcony. The new Chirp thing? No keys and no fobs? What is that. Come on. I have to get through 3-4 different doors with my phone and it made me feel like I was in a prison and locked up.
Loud motorcycles would fly through the parking garage, setting off alarms every night. It was always the same dude just flooring it and cranking his throttle to echo in the garage. Usually around midnight. Really nice thing to fall asleep to, right? Or try at least. I wrote a lot more but I can't fit it here. Whatever.
I don't know how any of these reviews are real.

Great complex. Amazing Staff
This is the first apartment complex that me and my wife can truly say it felt like home. The amenities were always well taken care of, complex was always clean, parking was plentiful, and on top of all this, the staff is amazing. Whether it was dealing with a leasing issue or an apartment amenity issue, the staff were always on top of it and would even give you a personal call at times to ensure things were taken care of and you were happy. Over the last two years here, the leasing staff have... really become our friends. They were so helpful, that when we potentially attempted to relocate for work to their Glendale / Tuscany location, they gave us tips and personally communicated on our behalf at times with the other complexes to get our issues resolved with them. They didn't have too, but they did. These small favors they did for us made our stay feel not just like another housing situation, but a living experience.
I do plan on moving back one day because of how well my stay was. I miss the OC and our relaxed and safe living situation at the Camden. But, the only reason I moved was to relocate for work. If you are on the fence about this place don't hesitate. When you look at the complex, don't just look at the apartment itself, but look at the community and staff that work there. They are truly the differentiators that makes this apartment the best place I have lived in the OC for the last 4 years. Shout out to Brooke and Kacey for being so amazing! You are both outstanding professionals in your career's and thanks for the great living experience the last two years. It will be truly missed.

Hot and bothered . seriously
This is, at least, the sixth time my air conditioning isn't working. I'm absolutely still paying for it - and I'm paying to wash all the sheets and clothes I'm sweating through. With the heat, bugs and pesticides that don't work - well - you're on your own.
God forbid you have a pet who has to suffer in the heat because the AC doesn't work - and then you come home to an apartment that has the 'heat on'.
My goodness. My poor dog was in 'extremis'
they were good - now - serious questions... .
Don't even get me started on the ROACHES and flies. completely out of control.
:(

MUST SEE
great floor plan, great maintenance team, but worst leasing office! Make Sure you won't ask for their help after you move in before signing anything! treat resident like a homeless begging for food. even tow their resident's car that have a camden decal with number that registered to the apartment just because resident parked the car for too long since he is traveling.

high property crimes, annoying college kids, poor management
I know if you’re reading this post, then you are probably doing your due diligence and research the ideal place to live—do yourself a favor and move elsewhere. There are dozens of apartments that are Camden, live in one of those—not here. If you have done the tour to possibly live here, you did it in the middle of the day when no one was really here (so it seems ideal)—it’s not.
There is A LOT of crime that happens here. Many tenants get their packages stolen, cars dinged in the parking lot,... cars broken into, bikes stolen (even hard locked bikes are stolen), literal seats stolen from cars (seriously). The “petty” crime is burglary in which packages are stolen from your front step; FedEx/USPS/UPS/DHL/ONTRAC/AMAZON have tried delivering to the front desk and the staff’s answer have always been that they cant take it (really? Even though you know packages are being stolen and most of us are working professionals?). Amazon has told me that they have a hard time delivering packages outside of normal business hours here because no one will let them into the facility.
Some of the most incredible crimes that have happened here this year alone from other tenants: -someone broke multiple car windows in a car (this happens a lot) -someone used a power tool to break those expensive and hard locks for bikes (DOZENS of bikes were stolen) -hit and run incidents -seats were stolen from a car (you read that right)
Don’t let them fool you, there is not a 24/7 security guard here. There’s only a security camera by the gate between the 1st and 2nd floor of the garage (no where else)—so good luck if someone messes up your car. This “luxury” apartment is anything but, it’s not even safe. On top of that, you have to pay for extra entrance FOBS and extra parking garages—one would think this is a safety measure. Nope! Just a cash grab.
if you’re a college kid, there are apartments that are nice/more inexpensive/and closer to UCI. If you have a family, please don’t live here (with how cars zoom in the parking garage and property crimes, there’s better areas to live at). Couples (be prepared to hear crying children and non-stop barkings). Pet owners (there’s poop everywhere).
In short, don’t live here. Just don’t.
