I have lived at this property almost 4yrs now and I really enjoy it! It's quiet, clean, and the staff is so friendly!! They are always smiling and happy to help. Maintenance requests are handled promptly and professionally. Combined with the neatly kept grounds these qualities make The Foothills an awesome place to call home.

I only gave them 1 star because I had to. If I could it would be zero stars. Don't live here. Decline is a soft word to use. Maintenance is a joke. The dinning room light was finally replaced after me complaining for three months but then it kept turning off after being on for five minutes. I told the office four times and they finally sent a guy to look at it. He came in, turn the light off and on, then flicked with his finger and said 'Looks like it works to me.' I even had them stand there a... different time to watch the light go out and they still didn't fix it. It has not worked for a year now. When I first move in to a 3rd floor apt it wasn't so bad but this last two years is terrible. If I hadn't had major surgery I would have moved after the first year. The front porch door wouldn't lock unless I had a big guy shove the door shut while I tried to flip the lock. I ended up just putting a chair under the door knob so I would at least feel a little safe. The maintenance guy said, 'It's an old building what do you expect?' I expected more.

Don't be fooled by the happy staff people and the beautiful lawn! Yes, it has a very nice green lawn and flowers are planted. The lawn people are very nice and worked hard to keep it that way. They don't belong to HSL Properties. I'm not sure you should swim in the pool. The maintenance guys "CLEAN" it by blowing leaves away, making sure the water is full and picking up any trash. They don't clean it out!!!!

Let's talk mold! I sure that is why I had so much trouble with my allergies. I was visiting family and came home after a big rain. I had water on the floor and mold running up the walls (this was in July 2017) and they didn't do a thing. I had to clean it up on my own. I had to buy bleach and other cleaners to try and get rid of the mold. The wall along the floor is falling apart as is the tall cabinet in the bathroom.

The never replace the filter unless I asked them two or more times. When I had my house, I replaced the filter twice a year. I only expect them to do it once and didn't even get that.

The staff here is very friendly, and the area is very nice; very safe. You get a great view of the Catalina mountains.HOWEVER, the appliances are very old, probably from the 80s (all electric). My blinds do not close properly, its something maintenance could have taken a look at, but I felt it was something I could live with (and I can). During certain times of the day there is low water pressure for some reason. There are a lot of little things like that throughout the apartment. Overall, its... an ideal apartment for anyone that doesn't mind the small things. U of A is about a 20 minute drive, stores are about 5-10 minutes away. It seems far, but I've noticed gas in Tucson is usually 15-20 cents cheaper than in other places. Read More

Here at the Foothills you will be surrounded by beautiful trees, palms and pines... giving you that park kind of freedom we all enjoy. It's like you have it all! It's quiet, peaceful and calm... you can spend mornings and afternoon listening to the leaves on the trees... there is no better place! It is just the right location. You can always feel safe and comfortable here, is that not what we all look for when searching for a new home?

Great area, beautiful surroundings! Comfortable and very quiet place. Small and cozy apartments... big tall and very green trees everywhere. You will just love this side of town. Once you're here, you can't leave!
