applied for an apartment at this community on August 24, 2026, and unfortunately my experience was extremely disappointing.

During the application process, I was never informed that having an out-of-state driver's license could cause delays with my background screening. I am relocating from California to Arizona and provided all requested documentation upfront. After applying, I was told that because I have a California license, someone would need to physically obtain court records from... California, which I found surprising and have never encountered during any previous rental application process.

What made the experience even more frustrating was the lack of consistent communication. One employee told me the screening would take only a few days, while another later told me it could take a week or longer. Each time I called for an update, I received different information and no clear answers regarding my application status.

When I decided to cancel my application due to the delays and confusion, I specifically requested a call from the Community Manager. Despite that request, I never received a follow-up call. Additionally, I was later made aware that an employee who represented herself as the Community Manager was not actually the manager, which raised concerns about transparency and professionalism.

The customer service throughout this process was disappointing. As someone relocating from another state, I expected clear communication and professional treatment. Instead, I experienced conflicting information, poor follow-up, and an overall lack of accountability.

I have requested cancellation of my application and reservation, along with a refund of the $250 I paid. I hope management will address these concerns and improve communication for future applicants.

I’ve had such a great experience living at Zaterra. The community is always clean, welcoming, and beautifully maintained, and the team here truly goes above and beyond to make residents feel at home.
