I wanted to love living at Yale 624. The building is beautiful, and the location is great. Unfortunately, the reality of living here has been defined by theft, poor communication, and a management team that seems unable or unwilling to address ongoing resident concerns.
Before I get too deep into that, I do want to mention the one redeeming quality of this property: the maintenance staff. They are fantastic.
The most alarming issue is security. In less than a year, there have been repeated... thefts, storage unit break-ins, bike thefts, unauthorized access to restricted areas, homeless individuals sleeping in hallways and trash rooms, and countless resident complaints. My household has been directly impacted multiple times.
Just this week, we learned the property's security camera system has effectively been non-operational for approximately TWO YEARS. At no point were residents informed, despite repeated requests to review footage following thefts.
The recent storage unit break-in was particularly concerning. Residents were not proactively notified, and we only learned about it from another resident. To date, no meaningful security improvements have been implemented, and our belongings remain at risk.
My partner and I have repeatedly had to chase management for responses regarding theft. In one instance after multiple ignored follow-ups, we were told our emails "must have gone to spam." We were also recently told management no longer had access to our email chains from the previous 11 months.
When residents suggest solutions, they are often met with excuses rather than action. For example, management declined after-hours patrols because previous patrols "did not provide the level of control or consistency" they anticipated. Given the ongoing thefts and security failures, that explanation is difficult to understand.
What is most disappointing is not that problems exist. Every building has problems. It is the lack of transparency, urgency, accountability, and empathy when those problems are repeatedly brought forward by residents. Issues persist for months with little visible progress, minimal communication, and no meaningful acknowledgment of their impact on residents.
If you're considering Yale 624, I'd recommend looking elsewhere. At a minimum, look beyond the marketing materials and ask questions about security, theft history, camera functionality, after-hours response procedures, and how resident concerns are actually handled. I wish we had.

Do not rent this place!
I have been living in this place for 1 year and a half. Their management is awful. They change their management a lot. The only thing doesn't change is that they are always trying to charge you something extra. For my past 3 leases, it has never been right. I have to talk to their staff again, again and again to make it right. The other thing is that the isolation between each apartment is extremely bad. My neighbor smoked marijuana and that makes my living room very smoky. I've reported this... issue 4 times and they never took any effective actions. They are trying to be a nice person much more than caring about the life and health of their residents.

Beautiful Building in Great Location!
I just moved here from Chicago and love my new apartment. It’s in a good location, near restaurants and shops but also off busy roads making it have minimal traffic noise. It’s also within in walking distance to work, about 11 minutes to my work at Amazon Brazil building. The staff was friendly and helpful as well. Only downside is my view which mainly looks at an old building but the rooftop is awesome and has a great view of a lake and downtown. Would definitely recommend this building!

Avoid at all cost!
Honestly, you're better off NOT renting here. I've been here for about 3 months now and there have been so many issues that your safety is at question while living here.
Since living here, we've had issues with the front and side doors where the doors did not lock and despite telling the staff, they did not care to fix this until months later. A side door was broken into and bikes were stolen with management's only reaction is leaving a piece of paper with tape saying not to leave bikes in the... bike storage.
Another issue is how overpriced it is. You pay a premium for what, the location? The sterile SLU where there is no nightlife, culture, or anything ever happening here other than homeless people breaking into buildings? If you care to use parking it's an ALL or NOTHING deal where once you sign up for parking you're locked in for $200 a month until the lease ends. You can't use it on a per-month-basis.
Management neglects the tenants while treating them as a source of revenue - your well-being and safety are not a priority to them. You're only $$$ to management of this place. Save yourself the stress and live elsewhere.
