Crystal Flats is the best apartment complex in the DC area!!!

The building is brand new and is kept meticulously clean. Their maintenance staff takes care of any issues immediately. The management is outstanding, professional, and very friendly! I have lived in this building for almost 4 years and I compare it to staying at a five star hotel! Great gym and 24 hour concierge staff!

The apartment itself has a great location and is new. The cabinets and appliances are cheap. The bedrooms are so tiny you cant fit a bed and a dresser. The building was taken over by Gates Hudson management which is the most price gouging non resident friendly management company out there. Do yourself a favor and just don’t rent an apartment from them ever.

The new management is horrible. The property used to be well maintained, friendly staff and amenities. The new management does not communicate with residents, constantly takes amenities away and is completely unresponsive to any and all complaints. For the price of an apartment in this building you can receive better amenities a few blocks away.

Very friendly and informative staff, always there to help when they can (service requests are normally very quick and were always same day for me). The gym is pretty great, free weights, medicine balls, bands, a few weight machines, several cardio machines, but no bench press. There are so many common spaces in this building that it is easy to find privacy even outside of your apartment. Several fireplaces, indoor and out, to enjoy each winter. The finish of the rooms is above average but not... excellent, over paint/caulk, carpet fray, crooked outlets; all things easily fixed and they are eager to make sure the apartment is perfect before you move in. Parking is always available because they enforce towing (dont forget your pass!). I actually moved out of this apartment about 2 years ago and am looking to move back once/if the room I want opens up. Excellent, modern apartment space. Clean and well-kept communal areas. Friendly staff. Great location. Can’t ask for much more. I’m new to the area, and love it here at my new M. Flats home! Living here has made my transition to a new state and new job easy.
