After more than ten years living at this property, we are moving out because the new management have tried to run financial scams on us and other tenants, have violated our property rights, and have regularly harassed us. We had never had any issue with any property manager prior to the current group.

The location is phenomenal and so is the building. But the new owners (Equity Residential) started making a lot of changes after the COVID lockdowns ended. They redesigned the public spaces by hiring what I can only imagine to be a high school student who is in the middle of taking an interior design course. The concierge office used to be nothing short of extended family when you walked inside. After contracting it out to a temp agency with only a couple of the remaining conceirge staff, the... building has lost it's sense of "home." Because I was relocating from Washington state to Virginia, I wasn’t able to make a separate trip to see the apartment I chose before move in. Tina worked with me to accommodate my request to switch apartments because the furniture I had purchased wouldn’t have fit otherwise. She and Sei’quan made this transition for me less stressful. Building has some nice qualities - maintenance staff and front desk personnel; however, there is no sound insulation between apartments so it is incredibly noisy. You also have no recourse but to put up with it, because management will not help you "encourage" your neighbors to be more neighborly and courteous to others.

The building is in a very convenient location, close to the metro and grocery stores. However, the AC is terrible. It's on all the time and can't even keep it at 75. Our electric bill is MUCH higher than when we lived in a significantly larger house. Also, the second night after we moved in the sink overflowed and flooded the apartment. We hadn't even used the sink yet.
