I would strongly discourage anyone from leasing at Camber in Salt Lake City or at any Greystar-managed property.
The most alarming issue isn’t maintenance delays or building quirks—it’s the conduct and attitude of the leasing office.
During my tenancy, the leasing office manager openly gossiped about tenants, discussing residents’ personal lives and situations and complaints in a way that felt deeply unprofessional and inappropriate.... As a renter, it seriously undermined any trust that concerns would be handled discreetly or fairly.
The assistant manager demonstrated little to no customer service training and appeared to take satisfaction in finding reasons to charge tenants. Interactions felt adversarial rather than supportive, as though the goal was to catch residents in technicalities instead of resolving issues reasonably.
This attitude becomes especially clear when you decide not to renew your lease.
Once you signal you’re moving out, the tone changes entirely. There is a noticeable effort to penalize departing tenants by adding move-out charges that most renters would reasonably consider basic wear and tear—including: • Small nail or screw holes from hanging shelves or photos • Minor wall marks consistent with normal occupancy • Routine apartment use that any reasonable landlord would expect
Rather than treating these as standard wear, they are used as justification for inflated move-out costs, giving the impression that non-renewing tenants are viewed as revenue opportunities rather than former customers. None of the management were qualified or equipped to provide the care and service they promise when signing a lease for the price of the rent they charged.
This is not a tenant-centered community. It’s a corporate operation where policies are enforced selectively and changed to limit effort for staff, professionalism is lacking, and renters are treated as disposable once their lease term ends.
If you’re considering Camber or any Greystar property: • Be extremely cautious about move-out charges • Document everything obsessively • Do not assume good faith or reasonable discretion from management.
I would not rent here again, and I would advise others to look elsewhere unless they’re comfortable with hostile management practices and aggressive fee assessments.

Living at the Camber Apartments in SLC has been such a wonderful experience. The staff is incredibly friendly and truly makes you feel right at home from day one. The apartments and amenities are luxurious, beautifully maintained, and thoughtfully designed. I also love the community events, which create a welcoming atmosphere and support local small businesses in such a meaningful way. I genuinely love it here and never want to leave.
