From the start, the excessive noise we dealt with was far over the top. Normal living from an apartment above is expected. What is NOT expected is constant noise to the point of vent ducting and ceiling lights rattling, and even a kitchen cabinet door. We made multiple complaints, written and verbal, resulting in no relief. Staff completely lacked empathy with our situation.
With three young children that hardly left their apartment, little to no supervision, the noise was intolerable. This... lead us to break the lease. We learned that the apartment was leased the month after we left, yet we were still required to pay the $1,400 fine for breaking the lease.
I’m sure that “management” will respond to this with some sort of excuse or explanation, but don’t buy it. I strongly recommend avoiding the first floor like the plague. Upon move-in, we were told that the above apartment was leased by a single person. One of the four AC units outside our window was extremely loud, and they refused to correct it because it was still functional.
Overall, our experience was awful and I would not recommend Palomar under any circumstances, unless you have money to waste.

Excellent Community!
Palomar Apartments is hands down one of the nicest communities in Tyler. The landscaping and grounds are beautiful, the amenities are amazing, and the entire property is well maintained. The office staff goes above and beyond, and maintenance always responds quickly. You really can’t beat the location!

GREAT LOCATION
If you’re looking for a beautiful place to call home, Palomar Apartments is it! The resort-style amenities are incredible, the grounds are always well cared for, and the maintenance staff works hard to keep everything in top shape. The office staff is welcoming and genuinely cares about residents. Plus, the location is convenient to shopping, dining, and everything Tyler has to offer. Highly recommend!
