Poor Management and Units

Recently, our complex was bought out and renamed "The Woodlands Wake Village." My experience here has been frustrating, to say the least.

When we moved in, there were signs of water damage and minor floor issues. I scheduled maintenance, but after weeks of no response, two months later, a light fixture fell from a leaking ceiling. Maintenance finally addressed it and discovered the entire bathroom needed to be redone, which took four months. Now, another leak drips into our bathtub whenever the...
upstairs neighbor bathes, but maintenance claims it’s not an issue because it wasn’t leaking during their visit.

The new owners are improving the property, but management is lacking. We were notified of the ownership change with just one day's notice, causing confusion about how to pay rent, which was initially incorrect. Though fixed for the first month, they’ve since tried charging me $150 more than my lease states, and I’ve had to email each month to correct this.

When our sink leaked, I scheduled maintenance through the portal but never heard back. They called a week later, saying maintenance was there, despite my request for an appointment. They don’t do appointments, so I fixed the sink myself.

Utilities have been another issue; we weren't charged for two months, then suddenly received multiple bills along with a note to register for electric service just before moving out. Communication has been poor overall, with notices posted days late and little email follow-up. We had exterminators scheduled but received only a four-day notice. We kenneled our cat, but the exterminators didn’t show, and there was no apology for the mismanagement.
