ANTS!!! Just moved in a week ago and as I was moving stuff in I noticed ants all over the pantry, kitchen, dining area. Now a couple of them wouldn’t have bothered me but it was way too many. It’s so hard especially having a baby here thats not even 2 yet! They’ve gotten all in his toy box that has all of his toys. I still have yet to put any food out, I can’t use the pantry at all, I can’t go grocery shopping as I need to. I was told somebody would come but that hasn’t happened. On top of that,... it rained and the water came into the apartment and luckily I was home because I had a puddle of water on my living room floor. Again, I was told somebody would come handle it but NEVER came and I've been home all week. You can tell the floor has had water damage before as well. This used to be a good place to live. We'll maintained and helpful staff. Recently that's not the case. There are many dead plants and hedges...nothing is done about replacing them. The lawns are not clean. Some residents have left dog poops around in the lawns and so far the staff have not done anything about it. It looks unkempt and dirty...It's sad.

I like the unit, the community and the location. The exterior of the units could use some updates.

McDermott Place is a lovely place to live. Office staff is always pleasant and helpful. Maintenance guys, if needed, are always quick, friendly, and efficient. They all always listen to explanations regarding any "quirky" requests, and are willing to go the extra mile, within reason of course.

I really like the staff and maintenance team. they are always prompt.
