Don’t Move Here - Awful Management and Communication
My experience with Providence Uptown has been extremely frustrating, and unfortunately the towing situation is only the latest example of the poor communication and lack of accountability from the leasing office.
I previously had issues with my lease where I specifically stated in writing that I wanted to keep my original move-in date and original lease terms with no changes. Despite that, I was sent a lease with a different move-in date. This came after already dealing with emails and phone... calls that went unanswered. Something as important as a lease agreement should not require residents to repeatedly follow up just to make sure the terms they requested are actually correct.
There have also been issues involving pest control and the way those concerns were communicated and handled by management.
Now, my vehicle has been towed from the apartment garage even though my vehicle information is registered in my resident portal. Management claims I was required to separately register through the towing company’s portal, yet I was never clearly advised that an additional registration was required. Because of that lack of communication, I was forced to pay $320 out of pocket and miss work.
I had parked on the 5th floor because the lower floors were full or had reserved spaces. On top of everything else, the elevator wasn’t working, so I had to walk up five flights of stairs only to discover that my vehicle was gone.
When I brought the towing issue to the leasing office, instead of acknowledging the communication failure and trying to find a solution, I was simply told they would not reimburse me.
At this point, these don’t feel like isolated incidents. Lease issues, unanswered communications, pest-control concerns, maintenance issues, and now a $320 tow stemming from another communication problem have made this an incredibly disappointing experience. All within living here one month.
For anyone considering moving here, I strongly recommend you DONT and if you like poor treatment and decide to move here, document absolutely everything in writing, saving every email, and documenting every interaction with management. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this complex, particularly because of how poorly resident concerns and important information have been communicated and handled

Thank you for sharing your concerns. We are sorry to hear that you have been frustrated with your experience at Providence Uptown. We take resident concerns seriously and would appreciate the opportunity to address these matters with you directly... . Regarding the garage parking and towing, residents receive weekly communications regarding the garage parking requirements and registration process. We understand how frustrating it was to return to the garage and find that your vehicle had been towed, particularly with the elevator outage creating an additional inconvenience. We are diligently working to repair the elevators. However, as previously communicated, your safety and the safety of our residents and guests are our top priority. We cannot allow the elevators to be used until the required part has been received, installed, and the elevator has been properly inspected and confirmed safe for operation. Regarding pest control, after reviewing your account, we do not have a request on file for pest control service for your apartment. Pest control service is available every Thursday, and we would be happy to assist you with scheduling a service request if needed. For your convenience, residents also have the option to reserve a parking space, which may help avoid having to park on the upper floors. We would appreciate the opportunity to speak with you directly regarding your concerns, including the lease and communication issues you referenced. Please contact the leasing office at your convenience, and I will be happy to personally go over these matters with you and work toward addressing your concerns.

DO NOT MOVE HERE
Infested with gnats, They don't pick up trash, No camera’s in the mail pickup room or garages that work, elevators don’t work, and management barely answers the phone. A lot of unnecessary charges. Packages get stolen, cars broken into… the community group chat is angry and fustrated. I moved in back in February and its been pretty miserable.

Rip off
Disappointed... This place only care about ripping off your money. Got a notice "$150 cleaning fee was charged due to cleaning issues and odor in the game room" on my door when l cleaned up after myself. l have attached the notice. Don't know what is it referring to. No detailed description, time stamp, picture, what so ever. I guess people can be fined $200 for using the facility or something like forgetting their drink by the pool. I wouldn't dare to approach the club house again.

Floor is very very thin
***UPDATE*** 11/27/2019 Now I am living there for 5 months and half, DON’T DON’T DON’T move in unless you check below: 1- your apartment in the 4th floor OR 2- your neighbor upstairs don’t have kids Otherwise your life will night mares believe me. 3- The floor of the upstairs are maintained. Well, let’s talk some fact: The isolation is terrible, and you can hear your upstairs neighbor steps and their kids running or playing and they don’t care about your comfort. We called courtesy officer many... many times and he didn’t do anything, we called the police and they didn’t do anything and FINALLY I talked to the leasing office and they told me they will take further action BUT it’s the same nothing change. Upstairs neighbor they run all the time, and they don’t care it’s like they did it on purpose. I can’t wait until June so I move out to another complex or if the leasing office decide to give me another apartment on the fourth floor. By the way, we through a party in our apartment and with that loud music and loud conversation and my guest still hear their steps and running, my guest refuse to visit me because of the neighbor upstairs.
*** they should maintain the floor once a year at least to avoid the noise and complain.
Below Review wrote upon move in, June 2019
I just moved in there, I’ll wait for a while before writing any review. In general the location is very good 2mins drive to 610 and 5mins walk to Galleria Mall.
