Communication is extremely poor. As mentioned above, several emails go days or weeks without response. I've actually never successfully gotten an office person on the phone unless they've called me. It got to the point where, because no one ever picked up the phone and every time I went in the excuse was "we get busy" I would call sitting in the parking lot, let it go to voicemail, and walk in immediately afterward just to see both leasing agents and managers with no customers staring at their... computers. So, do you just watch the phone ring and only call back people who leave a message? As for the lack of email responses, every time I've had to go in late to work because I've had to physically go in to get questions answered, the excuse has been the computer servers or network is down. If it's that poor, I'd expect a company as large as RPMI would have invested in some better equipment. I mean how to do you do lease follow up with new customers if you don't respond for weeks? Rhetorical question.
On top of that our "secured" community hasn't had the gate functioning in months. I've been here since the community opened, and when it has functioned, it's worked for maybe a week or 2 at most before being left wide open again for weeks on end.
We also get charged monthly for pest control, which on my specific building, hasn't been done in months as there are black widows in every corner of the hallway and stair landings, webs, dead bugs on the fixtures and webs, etc.
My specific building has also not been cleaned since at least February, and yes I know they are on a cleaning cycle, but this is a smaller community and it should've happened by now. The valet trash service has dripped trash all down the halls and stairwells, the amount of dust and dirt build up is insane, you can clearly see where people walk or not with how dirty it is. I can't even grab the hand rail without my hand being black because of all the dirt.
There is much more but I am limited on what I can put.

RUN FOR THE HILLS

Breezeways were always dirty and rarely cleaned unless requested. The paint job they did on the concrete in the breezeways to cover up stains, instead of finding a way to power-wash looks sloppy and tacky. Mailman always puts most of the residents mail in the incorrect box, resulting in residents removing incorrect mail and leaving them in mass piles on top of trashcan counter area, which includes sensitive information like numerous IRS tax documents, credit card documents, etc which can easily... result in identity theft. Management didn't care or do anything to rectify it. Packages were constantly delivered to the wrong address and incorrectly left in the mailroom as well, for possible theft too. Gates are useless because they don't encompass the entire property; there are still accessible points by foot via the pool area and the front of building one. The gates were also not fully operable and and left open most of the time. They tack on unauthorized fees when you move out. I once had a hostile contractor, they use, come to my unit for servicing. I informed the leasing consultant not to send him again due to that. The next time he was on the property, they sent him right back to my unit. Constant weed smoking on the property permeates some buildings and enters units. Most of their "monthly events" are extremely low quality and focused around distasteful donuts. Instead of hiring a cleaning person on-site, they use a once a week contractor in high-traffic common areas, so you have to look at dirt and stains for the remainder of the week. When the current assistant property manager first started, I mentioned an issue and there is no way she would have recalled without taking notes. I asked if she was going to write it down. After staring into space, she then decided to act as if she was typing when it was obvious she was not. They rarely answer the phone or respond to emails. They started charging for the coffee machine while charging an amenity fee . Most "luxury" apartments don't charge for it. Free parking is minimal. Most are paid. Good luck on finding a spot if you come back late. 2 police cars were often staked out on property and I regularly saw an officer in the office and at one of the "monthly events" clearly looking for someone that may have lived or been staying on the property. Low-quality un-luxurious apartments. Wouldn't recommend.

HORRIFIED

So, I've been waiting since June for my move and it's finally time to move next week. I've been told that my apartment was ready, but now, they are saying they may delay the move? Why???! I was told my apartment is already done. Now I am in limbo waiting to see if I have to reschedule the movers, utilities, cable/internet, mail, etc. Again, I'm supposed to move in 1 week!!! I was so very pleased with this place and excited to move and now I am HORRIFIED at what is happening to me. I just... cannot believe this.
