1. Michael the Avalon Bay Apartment Complex Manager is incompetent. No call backs or write backs after many attempts to speak. I heard many residents use nasty names when referring to him and his lieutenants.
2. The building where I lived had absolutely no free handicap parking. $50 a month for the two that were somewhat near the building. No other spots are available blocks from my building. These Avalon Bay people are grossly greedy at best. I called the city of Flower Mound (FM) and... complained but there is nothing FM city council can do and said they should be ashamed.
3. Technology Package Pricing $80/month. The desperate Spectrum company duped Avalon Bay team into believing a notoriously horrible Internet and content provider is a great deal for the entire apartment complex. What a joke – you have to pay the Technology Package Pricing $80/month, regardless of your use of Comcast or not. Comcast has historically provided crappy customer service (after the initial honeymoon period). I heard some of the residents say this is borderline unethical practices and were threatening to take more formal actions.
4. The pool area needs to be maintained (Cleaned) more often. The outdoor speakers are not working, many times the trash cans are overfilled and spilling with alcohol cans and bottles over on the weekend(s). Trees overhanging the pool deposit leaves in the pool and the pool guy only comes once a week (sometimes) and does a poor job at best.
5. A lot of the Front Desk staff left and went to another apartment complex. The remaining are new and some are okay but most are incompetent.
6. The resident dogs are allowed to relieve themselves anywhere the owner wishes. They will do it right in front of you while sitting on your patio – ten feet from your sitting position. One dog is not so bad but five (5) a day is ridiculous - It’s disgusting especially when the dogs have diarrhea! The walking sidewalks around the main streets (where there is a bit of grass) always reeks and attracts flies in the hot summer months. Read More

Been living here for almost 4 years and still is one of the best communities in the DFW area. With rent going up sky high, this community is still affordable and the maintenance team is by far the greatest. I’m grateful and happy to come home.

A great place that you can walk to many different food places and services all with in a few blocks. Also having a movie theater is great on a weekend afternoon if you don't feel like driving.

Great location. Convenient to all major highways. Access to the lake is a 10 min walk, the CAC is just down the street. Maintenance staff are great. I guess hearing from the office staff is a good thing, but not much in activities from them, but we create are own.

Living at Nexus Lakeside is so wonderful, peaceful and family focused! We couldn’t ask for a better community or better staff in the office!
