I have been living at the Ellington @ Kirby around 12 years. I love it here. It is quiet and peaceful. The staff is wonderful and friendly, and my Maintenace request are always done on time.

The manager is very rude!!!! There are roaches!!!! The maintenance man flirts with everybody and and the other maintenance man sits around and don't do nothing! They don't fix anything and if they do they nigga rig it! The utility bill goes up unconditionally due to old thermostats and the water heater. The water heater gets hot for about 10 minutes and then gets cold so you gone have a cold shower and or bath. Overrall, it's sad. Its only what you make out of it.

I can never get anyone on the phone! I have to stop by to talk to someone. And when I do talk to someone its always through the door. I know we're in a crisis with COVID and all but GEEZ!! Show some PROFESSIONAL!! I've been living in these apartments for 15 years and never been this BAD!! Its time to move!!! Out of the 15 years I can only use 2 eyes on my stove YES I have put in several & several of tickets for the same issue and still nothing been done. I had to fix my toilet myself (smh) and... the leak in the master bathroom don't get me started on that........ I can go on on with a lot of issues..

First, we trust that all of your issues have been resolved but encourage you to reach out to us if they have not. Yes - COVID-19 did create challenges for... everyone, however, our offices have re-opened and our maintenance is essentially business as usual now.

I am giving this complex a 1 star. I am doing this because of they have ignored major issues within our unit. We have had electric bills of $350 and $406 the last two months. I called and called and called the first month to try and get ahold of them and no one ever answered the phone and I also sent an email the first month as well. So I went ahead and paid that bill in full. This month I called and they “took a message” and would “call me back” I haven’t heard a thing. I also sent them a... detailed message of what MLGW stated the issue was and that the complex had a responsibility of getting that issue resolved. They haven’t responded to me. We are very close to taking LEGAL ACTIONS against this complex for not upholding the city requirements that are in place! I will be writing reviews on all the apartment listing websites as well as their own website. Now, with all that being said this complex is not horrible to live in. It’s quiet, the insides are ehh okay for the price and really spacious! We really have no other complaints other than this and the other maintenance requests we’ve had to put in, in less than a year. There definitely could be some improvements on the insides of these to make them a really really good complex. I hope they fix this issue or we will be taking legal actions and moving out

We are very sorry for the heat challenges you experienced. We thought we had corrected the issue by replacing a part when you first contacted us in early January but this obviously was not the case! Once we realized this, with the replacement of... your thermostat and refunding of overages on your electric bill, we believe the issue has now been totally resolved. We'd like to note your feedback following these actions, which we appreciate!
The owners of this complex ended up reaching out to us and hopefully fixed the issue and helped with the overages on our electric account! They did this really quick too! I’m happy with the way that MRG handled things! So changing the review to 3 stars! Thank you to Nikki at MRG for being really great and sweet!
