These apartments definitely have mold and a bunch of other problems, when I lived there there was an ant infestation in the walls, mold in the bathroom ceiling (as well as mushrooms) and it was so unbelievably damp in the whole apartment. No matter what you do you will be freezing in the winter and sweating from the humidity in the summer. Even though they are “updated” they definitely still have the underlying problems that have just been painted over.
