No refrigerator/freezer unit for over a week

I just moved in at the beginning of April. The townhomes are nice and modern, but my experience with maintenance has been frustrating to say the least. I lost groceries because I came home to find that everything I'd placed in the freezer was unthawed. I reported that the freezer wasn't working. They sent someone out the next day. He said that I would need a whole new refrigerator unit. It is over a week later, and I still don't have a refrigerator unit. What kind of rental agency leaves their... tenant without a refrigerator unit for over a week?! They did offer me a $150 gift card for the inconvenience which I guess is better than nothing, but $500 off of the rent would've been better since it's difficult to actually live in a place with no refrigerator/freezer. This particular appliance is essential, and I would think that a rental company who cares and prioritizes its residents, would have made this right at least several days ago. Now, I'm about to go into another weekend without a refrigerator/freezer unit, and they don't do anything on the weekends, so at the very earliest, it'll be Monday before this problem is resloved. I hope my experience improves during the course of my leasing agreement. Maybe I can come back and update my review at the end. But as of right now, my 1st month as a resident here has been extremely frustrating and disappointing.
