I Love It Here! I absolutely love my apartment in the trees, up high, safe, and beautiful. I love the big size of it compared to its price. You can't find this size apartment anywhere around here that you can actually afford. I would love to see the buildings painted, and maybe a different color, and I would love my neighbors to be a bit quieter but what really stands out, though, is the landlord. She is the best one I have ever had and I have lived in many places. She listens, acts quickly, and... gets things done. I appreciate her so much. If I could buy my apartment I probably would. I don't plan to leave here for a long time. If ever.

We love it here!
I’m so glad we decided to move here and not listen to the bad reviews. We have everything we need and would pay even more just for the patio view alone.

A great place!
I'm not sure what "What a joke" had; I think they had a great place.
The management lets us know about any changes or work on the areas with amply time ahead.
We're family friendly -- 5mph is safe and reasonable. There's a slight curve at the entrance too, so driving slow is just sensible.
The communal areas (laundry, etc) are clean and neat and have been recently made much safer.
Rent everywhere is going up slowly EVERYWHERE in the area, but $300 is basically not true (unless you put your... own barbecue pit in the living room!).
The management is friendly and easy to get in touch with by phone, email, or in person.
Having shot "What a joke" down, I love it here. Clean, great ample layout (with the minor complaint of an older stove and the lack of ceiling lights), EXELLENT view of the forests outside -- I'll be honest that I-5 is pretty much right down the street, but they're a lot quieter thanks to the trees. The 43 bus is literally right outside (which admittedly isn't the faster route) and the Barbur Transit Center is a 15-20 minute walk. Driving puts you at the corner of Capitol Highway and Barbur Blvd -- pretty much the center of the area.
So I like it here. Something wrong every way the "What a joke" person said. Unless... Theirs WAS a joke?

What a joke
Please don't move here. New management raised laundry prices without notification, as well as posted notices that anyone found going over 5 mph will be fined $50. Funny, because I just watched the "maintenance" guy fly through the parking lot the other day. quotations are because the apartments shared areas such as laundry rooms are dirty and unkept. New management also raised the rent almost $300 and they are impossible to get in touch with so hopefully you don't need anything, ever. NOT WORTH... IT. find a better place.

Property Manager at Indian Hills Apartments responded to this review
As the new manager at Indian Hills Apartments, I am very sorry to hear that you had a bad experience. I can assure you that no one working here during the time of your review works here any longer. As of August 2016, there is new on-site management... and new maintenance staff. We have made many improvements to the property, and resident relations have improved immensely. I am always on-site and available Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-4:00 PM, so the residents always know they can get in touch with me. We truly have a great community here and it's only going to keep getting better. –Brea
