So, for context, I have lived at Heirloom for about 32 months now, since the very first month the place opened.

The apartment units themselves are nice, as you can see from the pictures or a tour. However, just about everything else about living here pretty much sucks.

There are no breed restrictions! Awesome! There are also a bunch of big aggressive breed dogs running around acting like jerks without their owners correcting them.

There is a beautiful swimming pool! ... And the residents... totally ignore all the rules, and do not care one bit about the quality of life of all the folks in their apartment just 20 feet away. Between the super loud bluetooth speakers, play beer pong in the pool while kids are swimming next to them, and have late-night hot-tub parties despite the fact that all amenities areas close at 10pm.

The maintenance staff leave the dog waste bins overflowing for a week or more at a time. The stairs up to my apartment literally had never been swept in the 3 years I had been here. Even after asking for them to be cleaned, they ignored it.

Living here for three years has been marked by unsettling incidents and a concerning lack of accountability from management. A homeless woman broke into the unit below mine, triggering a pepper spray bomb, forcing us to seek alternative accommodations. Shockingly, management failed to communicate the situation to other residents or reimburse us. This lack of transparency and disregard for our safety is alarming. Promised security measures, like surveillance cameras and a security team, have... never materialized; I've never seen the security team. A recent verbal assault I experienced underscores the persistent security risks. Neglect is evident in the graffiti-laden common areas. The mental toll of fearing break-ins into my own apartment after such events is significant. Overall, the complex's security lapses, management's dismissive response, and the absence of support make it an untenable living situation. The floors are thin and my neighbors are very active at night. This makes it impossible to sleep. If you get unlucky and have neighbors like mine you won't like living here.

The amount of theft in this complex is astonishing, and the management does nothing to combat it or mitigate it. It's like every other day, a car gets broken into. I have spoken to a couple of neighbors and they have all complained.

And the management does literally nothing about it, but send a clause in the lease that indemnifies them from helping. They might as well be helping the thieves.

The parking spots still aren't assigned, and it's literally first come first serve. I'm just saying... for this amount of rent, it would cost nothing to get a security guard to patrol the community to stop theft, but nothing has and is being done by the management. Read More

I don’t appreciate that heirloom advertised 2 parking spaces per 2 bedroom units, and not 3 months after signing our lease we are only being offered 1. This is false advertising and slimy. I don’t like that the parking spaces have not been numbered so there is often no parking in front of my building due to residents having multiple guests. This is a result of poor management control. I don’t like that I was told of a community garden being created but now there are no future plans to create the... garden. It is inappropriate to have maintenance staff living in the buildings. The maintenance person in building 1 regularly smokes on their balcony causing smoke to travel through the building. This is supposedly against heirlooms policies but no effort has been made to correct the situation. The “secure” gates are ineffective due to broken locks. Anyone can walk into the property without a key or fob. Finally, there have been more that 5 vandalism incidents on the property since December and the management team has made no effort to increase security during the day, add security cameras on more than just the club house. I myself had someone smash my window in on the property within range on the only security camera on the property that the staff refused to release the footage of. Read More
