I’ve been here for about a month now and can’t say enough good things. The location is BEAUTIFUL. The apartment community itself is so friendly and diverse. The building is older but I intentionally seek out vintage apartments because I adore and appreciate the charm - note you have to take care of them to prevent issues but nothing I’m not used to. Hopefully a bigger unit opens up for me soon ;) and the property manager Lisa is so friendly and knowledgeable. It’s wonderful to have her here... onsite.

Mold, noise, and dog hair! And they will keep your deposit when you leave it spotless.
I moved out recently and have discovered they have chosen to keep a substantial portion of my deposit for "cleaning charges," which is absurd. I spent 2 full days with 2 other people doing nothing but cleaning that apartment to move-in-ready standards. After a week of attempting to contact the main office and the apartment manager for the building I was told that they cannot itemize any cleaning charges, so they cannot tell me what they cleaned or what necessitated the charges. The woman who I... spoke to at the main office stated that "everyone has a different idea of what clean is," which I found incredibly rude. I'm afraid most of us understand what move-in-ready means, and I assure you that apartment was spotless. I have photographs and two other people to vouch for that. I had even contacted the property manager weeks before move out and asked plenty of questions about the cleaning process including my responsibility for cleaning behind the appliances (to which she informed me I did not need to), and nothing came up during the walkthrough that would warrant the cleaning charges.
In addition to bogus cleaning fees, the storage area is unusable. The chicken wire units are not secure and have no ventilation and most residents I knew had their things ruined by mold and mildew. My neighbor across the courtyard had to throw out all of her belongings due to a sewage backup that flooded the basement. The water was shut of more times than I can count, my car was vandalized twice in 1 year, there is no receptionist at the main office downtown and more often than not you can't actually reach anyone directly. The place has turned into a dog park since I've moved in, which is great for dog owners, but the grounds are always covered in dog poo, dogs bark at all hours of the day and night, and you will pretty much AWLAYS have to wash your clothes in other people's dog hair--the washers and dryers are full of it. The kitchens are so poorly designed with the new owner's "renovations" that the oven door wouldn't open all the way without taking off the adjacent cabinet doorknob off first, there were at least several instances of severe domestic violence including a murder, and I could go on.
Their rent may be slightly less than the market rate, but believe me you will pay in the end. Take my advice and spend a little more for a company that actually cares about residents and who hires employees who operate at a higher level of functioning. You won't find that here.

Really Bad Windows
These apartments have old single-pane windows so heating is extremely expensive. They also do not have screens (!), so you will be very hot in the summer. They do not allow window air conditioner units. Furthermore, the bathrooms do not have exhaust fans so you will battle mold. The management has spent money on beautiful floors and countertops, but neglected basics that make it livable. Too bad cause otherwise it would have been really nice.
