Where do I even begin? This house has a serious mouse problem. When I reported it, I had to wait quite a while before they sent an exterminator. Unfortunately, the only solution the exterminator provided was a mouse glue trap. I also reported that my dryer was not turning on. Their solution was for me to take my clothes outside to dry until someone could come and fix it. It took 5–6 weeks for someone to finally come out. When they did, the dryer still was not drying properly and required... multiple cycles to dry clothes. When I reported the issue again, they suggested that the problem was with the wall and said they would send a vendor to fix it. The vendor came and made the repair, but the dryer still did not work properly. Now, they are saying the problem is with the house ventilation system. This has been an extremely frustrating experience. Every time something breaks in this house, there seems to be a significant delay in getting proper maintenance. The lack of timely and effective maintenance has caused unnecessary stress and inconvenience. People, please think carefully before choosing to live here. Move-in experience was TERRIBLE and I’m wholeheartedly regretting signing a lease here. My apartment has been vacant for almost a month and it was not cleaned prior to my move-in. We moved our mom in there back in February, the North Carolina floor plan is perfect for just her and her dog. the staff was so helpful and friendly and made it an easy transition for her. it's a beautiful community surrounded by nature and away from all the hustle and bustle but close to everything. We highly recommend The Garratt!

I moved into this place about a month ago, and honestly, my experience has been incredibly frustrating from the start. While the application process was surprisingly easy and quick, it almost felt too easy — like there should have been more transparency about the actual condition of the unit and what I was getting into.

When I first moved in, there was glass scattered around, which immediately raised concerns about how well the unit had been cleaned or prepared. Unfortunately, things only got... worse from there. The basement bathroom doesn’t even flush properly, making it basically unusable. On top of that, the bathroom door has a serious issue where it locks and won’t open unless someone is inside, which feels like a major safety concern.

The kitchen sink clogs constantly, which has been a huge inconvenience for everyday use. In the washer and dryer area, there’s also water leaking, adding to the list of problems and making the space feel poorly maintained.

One of the biggest issues has been the laundry situation. The washer and dryer that were supposed to be provided didn’t work at all. I ended up having to pay someone out of my own pocket just to install my own washer and dryer, which is not something I expected or should have had to deal with after just moving in.

On top of all that, management and staff have been extremely disappointing. Getting help or responses has been difficult, and the overall lack of urgency in addressing these problems has made the experience even worse.

Overall, this has been a really negative experience, especially for a place I just moved into. Between the maintenance issues, lack of support, and poor move-in conditions, it’s hard not to feel misled. Read More

Huge shoutout to our maintenance tech Moe! My dryer had been down for three weeks, and even though the team was short-staffed, he still made the time to come out and get it fixed quickly and correctly.

He was professional, friendly, and clearly knows what he’s doing. I really appreciate the effort he put in despite the workload. Thanks to him, everything is finally back up and running.
